Chapter 42

She walked flawlessly inside the Gazebo at sinundan ko naman siya agad. I don't feel good about this.

She immediately took one of her arrows and shot Coal in the arms.

Hindi naman talaga ito tumama sa kaniya. Sinadya niyang dumaplis lang ito sa suot ni Grey para takutin ito.

"Damn! Are you going to kill me!?"

"No one dies from an arm wound. Stupid."

"What did you just say!?"

Naglakad naman palapit si Grey sa kinatatayuan ni Artemis. But before he could fully approach her ay pinaulanan agad ito ni Artemis ng mga pana.

The arrows stopped midway at nahulog ito sa sahig dahil ginamitan agad ito ni Grey ng kapangyarihan niya.

Yes. Gumagana ang kapangyarihan niya dito sa Elysian kaya nakakaganti siya kahit papa'no kay Artemis but it's still limited.

Artemis raised her hand at agad na tumilapon si Grey sa ere. Good thing he was able to gain his balance and landed on his feet.

"That's it. Masiyado na kayong nagiging childish. Artemis, I summoned you because I needed your help."

Agad naman akong hinarap ni Artemis. Her face changed from being serious to a joyful one. She flashed a sweet smile at me and crossed her arms.

"I would gladly help you. Anong maipaglilingkod ko?"

"Well, Matthais was acting up again."

"That Damn Seraphim. Ba't ba na-promote 'yon?! Was he hoping to be a deity? Huh. Not gonna happen."

"Sure it won't. I can see it already." sabi naman ni Clotho.

"Where are your sisters Cloth?" Tanong sa kaniya ni Artemis.

"Just wandering around the field. So, shall we talk about the alliance?"

"Oh. Of course. Ano ba ang tulong na kailangan mo?"

"I needed some back up. From Matthias and the Prophecy."

"About Psyche again?"

"He mentioned that Spirit would still die no matter what happens. Sabi rin ni Clotho na dalawang beses na siyang susunduin sana ni Thanatos. Personally! It could be a Grimreaper right? Pero bakit kailangang siya pa?"

"Oh. So we're against the Angels now huh?"

"Yeah."

"And what about the Prophecy? Was it real?"

"I don't know, but Clotho said it could happen. It's possible for them to take Psyche away from me again. I have to convince them that I have served my sentence well. I've seen her be born and die again and again. Different lives. Different stories. Different name. Sa tingin ba nila hindi ito masakit para sa 'kin? Watching her suffer from certain deaths repeatedly was painful. Too painful."

"I can help you talk to the Sovereigns. We can try and convince them. Just give me the date." Ani Artemis.

"And what about Matt? For sure he'd do anything to stop you from doing your plan. Marahil ay saktan ka niya or worse, si Spirit."

"Clotho's right. He could be a serious threat right now."

"Oh shut up asshole." bara naman ni Artemis kay Grey.

She turned to me at nagpatuloy sa pagsasalita.

"Then protect her."

"It's not that easy Art. Mag-isa lang ako, Matt's moving mysteriously. He seemed very desperate to harm Spirit. Clotho can't help me 'cause she would be breaking the law at ayaw ko 'yon. And Coal? He can't help me either because he's powerless."

Bigla namang natawa si Art sa sinabi ko.

"Oh I forgot. This jerk right here's useless."

"Shut it huntress." Iritadong sita sa kaniya ni Grey.

"Fine. I can help you with that. I can help you in dealing with that Goddamn Seraphim."

"What would you do? Lalabanan mo siya? Makakalabag ka."

"Nah. I'm a VIP here. Nakalimutan niyo na bang Zeus took an oath, agreeing that I can do whatever I want to any creature who dares to harm my servants?"

"What are you planning?"

"Give this insignia to Psyche. Let her wear this all the time. In that way, she'll be one of my properties and I can protect her if ever Matt tries to harm her."

Oh, right. I almost forgot. Artemis took an Oath to Zeus promising that she'll forever stay Virgin and in return, she get to have complete control over her subjects.

"I-I don't know how to thank you for this."

"You don't have to. It was my decision to respond from your call."
