Hello, reader.

We're halfway through Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to reflect on all the ways our minds work for and against us. Mental health is clocking 10 years sober, but it's also closing the tab on a dumb YouTube video. It's learning to trust your anger, and it's talking about clinical depression with friends who respond like it's contagious.

More than anything, it's remembering that mental health is not linear. There is no rule that you have to be at 100% every day, no expectation that your life is a straight ascent from point A to the very bottom of your to-do list. There is no rule against taking your time.

Thanks for being here,
