Finally, I saw a hint of shock at her face. Got ya! I had to do what I just did in order for Sav to stop worrying about me. In that way, I'll be able to divert her attention. She has to be aware of what she's doing if I wanted to save her from embarassment. Even if it hurts, because that's how the truth works.

"Hep hep hep. Bakit na naman tayo napunta sa ganiyang usapan? Andito na nga oh. Lulubayan ka na nga o. Kailangan pa talagang ibalik sa akin ang hot seat? Gano'n ba? Ano ba talaga Best, maguusap tayo dito o pupunta ka na ng library?"

"Pupunta na po. Pasensya na, nagsasabi lang ng totoo. Mind you Sav, you should still take what I've said earlier seriously. Okay? I should go now."

"Bye. Mag-ingat ka ah? Text mo 'ko agad!"

"Oo na." Natatawa pa 'ko habang tinutulak na siya palayo.

Mag-isa akong pumasok ng library. Mas mabuti na rin 'to kasi mas tahimik. Unlike if I'm with Sav, hindi lang ako makakapag-focus sa binabasa ko. Ba't pa 'ko nagpunta ng library diba?

Agad kong kinuha ang phone ko at nagpadala ng text kay Sav. Saying that I'm already here in the library and I'm fine. Bawal kalimutan, baka mamaya mapagalitan pa 'ko no'n.

Lumapit ako sa Literature Section at sinubukang maghanap ng magandang babasahin.

Usually, I would rather go straight directly at the Astronomy Alley to know more about the Stars and how magical they are but today, I felt different. I feel like I suddenly want to read something from here. I feel like I needed to come here.

I searched for some books that might pique my interest and then I found one.

"The Hunt that destroyed the Moon."

It sounds so Scientific to me. But it's placed here in the Novels Section so, it must be a literary work.

I read the summary at the back and somehow, it felt magical.

It was about a Goddess of The Moon who has a Magical Bow and Arrow. On this story, She was tricked by someone who was so close to her. She trusted that person so much and because of that trust, she actually ended up killing the love of her life in the thought that it wasn't him but an enemy. Now, it will forever break her. The thought the she killed her own lover.

Wow. It hurts.

I took the book and settled myself on an empty bench.

I flipped the book cover and was about to start reading the first chapter when I felt someone sat beside me.

"Hey Spirit."

Tumingala ako at tinignan ang bagong dating na si Matt.

"Oh. Hey Matt. What brings you here?"

Binaba ko ang hawak kong libro at binalingan si Matt.

Kahit wala si Sav, naantala pa rin ang pagbabasa ko. I was hoping for some peace of mind right now but I guess I won't be having that anymore now.

"Well, I was just passing by actually. And then I saw you so I decided to stop by and greet you. What were you reading?"

"The Hunt that destroyed the Moon."

"Oh. That story. Great choice. I have read that story already. Kind of heartbreaking right? How 'bout you? How would you feel if you were that Goddess who killed her own lover?"

Napaisip naman ako sa sinabi niya. His tone was serious and deep. Nakakatakot naman. Para bang ang magiging sagot ko ay makakaapekto sa akin in real life.

"Well, I think I would be miserable. Like how the title of this story stated, it would probably destroy me as well."

"So, you would do anything to avoid that to happen?"

"Of course." Mabilis kong sagot. Pero ngumiti lang siya. He's being weird right now though. Or sadiyang ako lang talaga 'tong binibigyan ng maling ibig sabihin ang mga bagay-bagay?

"What if I tell you that the person you love right now will be in great danger if he keeps on sticking around you. Will you push him away?"

I thought hard. His questions are getting weirder and weirder. It somehow creeps me out.

"O-Of course. If that's the only way I could save him, I would do it."

"Great decision."

"W-Well, Thank you. I-I think I should go."

"I'll walk you to your next class."

"W-What? No, it's okay. You don't have to."

"I insist."
