Jaehyun and Doyoung were practically racing through the hallway, the former getting to me first "Is he here? Did you see him?"

I scoffed "No", my mood wasn't particularly good. In addition, there was still too much unresolved conflict for my liking.

I crossed my arms, pretending not to care about all of this. Taeyong's messages had affected me more than I'd like to admit and it was a real drag.

"You alright? Don't be nervous!", Doyoung patted my shoulder but it seemed more like a way to comfort himself. Fucking fanboys.

With an annoyed sigh, I started walking to class. It felt unfair to kill their mood so it was probably better for me to just vanish.

I was pulled out of my miserable thoughts when I laid eyes on the scene in front of me. Irene, Nayeon and Sana, all blocking my locker. My heartrate sped up immensely. What the hell did they think they were doing?

"Excuse me", I tried going past them.

Nayeon smirked "You know why we're here"

I rolled my eyes, how old were they?

Sana fixed her hair while nervously scanning the hallway. Aside from her rotten personality, she was really really beautiful. "This time, Jackson is hers", it was barely audbile.

Her eyes flickered over to Irene, who had been quietly mustering me so far. What the hell was her problem anyway?

"We won't make any stupid mistakes again", her voice was sharp but I felt like the remark was more directed at her friends.

"Cool, if you could stop this childish bullshit then", I once again tried opening my locker when Nayeon slammed it shut.

"You think you've won - but in the end, you'll have nobody left", the poisonous words seemed so unexpected from her cute face.

I scrunched my nose. This was honestly getting annoying.

"Leave her alone", my heart skipped a beat. Taeyong's usually silver hair was now coloured a bright red and although he didn't even look at me, I was so glad to see him.

Irene took a step back "We were just talking, Oppa"

I cringed at the nickname and Taeyong probably felt the same way. It really warmed my heart that he still stood up for me - maybe he didn't really mean those messages after all?

But before I could think any further, another voice chimed in "I've been looking for you, Aecha"

My body was kind of getting overwhelmed with emotion at this point as I looked at Jackson. He gave me his usual cute smile before mustering the others "What's going on? Didn't think you'd still be that obsessed with us, Irene"

Irene flinched at the coldness of his tone and it satisfied me immensely. Taeyong cleared his throat, probably uncomfortable to be caught in all of this.

Jackson stepped closer to me, propping his arm around my shoulder, before smiling at Taeyong "Thanks for rescuing her"

The red-head paused for a second, glancing at me for the first time. An emotion I couldn't quite grasp flackered in his eyes but he quickly continued answering Jackson "Of course, she's my friend"
