Chapter 2: Awakening

I had just killed the nth monster of the day today. Recorded log was over 27 billion different kinds of monsters killed. I've been stuck in this damned simulation for too long. From the data, it says I've been here for over 25 years. I don't want to go back to my old world, life sucked there. But...in this new one...I could be whoever I wanted, do anything I desired
"If only I got out OF THIS FUCKING CAGE!" I screamed and kicked a nearby boulder, sending it flying and smashing it against a castle wall.

Then suddenly, out of the blue. The world around me started to glitch out. I readied rosmarinus to a longsword and sprung my shield from my arm gauntlet. Then my vision started to blur, until a blinding white light knocked me out

I woke up in a strange room. From the looks of it, a summoning chamber. I got up only to realise I've been surrounded by a group of mages and knights, with one in particular standing out. He looked quite young and arrogant and was wielding a spear. A party of colourful adventures were behind him, with a smirking redhead at his side
"I am the spear hero" said the young man "and you sir, have finally been released from your prison"
The redhead spoke up "I am so terribly sorry my father did that to you. He was scared for the lives of his children, and needed to protect them as best they could. He has requested for you personally"
I analysed everyone I saw. I could tell something was off, but at least I knew i could blow this place to bits if needed. All my equipment was on hand, even the stuff I got from the simulation. I walked out of the summoning circle and nodded for them to lead the way.
"He doesn't speak much" whispered the spear hero
"That savage is probably a mute. Don't worry, we'll get rid of him soon enough" whispered back the redhead
("Myne..you little shit... I remember you and your bossy ness....but wait that's impossible. I've been in there for 25 years. She looks to be in her 20's so....how??")
We stopped at a large door and 2 knights pushed it open. From there we stepped through the royal halls that made me feel a bitter nostalgia. I stood at the foot of the steps that lead to the throne, Myne stepping up to clear her throat
"Ladies and Gentleman, after 5 years of banishment and training, the unnamed hero who came to this land has finally been released from this land. May we all rejoice as our true fourth hero comes forth"
I stepped forward as the knights around me knelt down. The king cleared his throat before addressing me
"Ahh, (Yn). So good to see you my friend"
"Friends are we?"
"I am deeply sorry for what I've done to you. I hope you can forgive me for my actions. Your power was too incredible for a hero and I beat saw fit to let you control your power first. I needed to protect my family and my kingdom. I hope you can understand."
I sigh and think deeply for a minute before looking up to meet his gaze "I can. Now, I don't want to go home. But I do want to explore this world so if you could-"
"Wait, your from another world?? "Said the spear hero
"Yeah, I'm from London. I don't remember you being the spear hero when I came-oh yeah!" I exclaimed spinning towards the king "how come it's been 5 years when in the simulation it said 25?"
"Ah, simple really. Every year here was five in there" that's why Myne is still young and I'm still the ruler of the land"
"Ahh...I see"
"Now, if you'll excuse my bluntness sir..."
"Just call me (Yn"
"Ok. Well if you can excuse my bluntness sir (Yn) I request a favour of you. Of the 4 heroes that have been summoned again to fight off the waves, the shield hero has used his power for villainy and cannot he stopped by our knights. Our heroes are too busy with waves and monsters, so I needed someone with expertise that wasn't busy. That's when I thought of you. As a reward I will shower you with unimaginable wealth"
"And all I have to do is kill the shield hero?"
"Yes, sir"
"Damn, sounds really simple"
"Take this bag of 800 silver coins for advance compensation" his steward came up toHe was last seen near lute town, along with his party of 2 slave girls"
("Slaves??? Jesus this guy sounds like a right prick")
"Very well. I'll see you when he's dead" I say walking out of the castle.

I hit the main capital streets, brandishing the hefty sack of silver coins. I spun my synthetic arm around to the beat of mr blue sky in my head as  I gazed over the shops in awe. This was truly a remarkable place. Like a fantasy world in a game or an anime. I remember a few things when I got here, like the currency system, it's a matriarchal society and that there are these demi humans which are like a combination of animal and human. They are treated very poorly in this kingdom. ("Wait, what is this kingdoms name again? Ah it don't matter now")
I went over to a bunch of shops to get supplies. I brought mountains of medicine and equipment as well as preservable food and water. I stored them in my magic orb that was my unique inventory system. I walked around some more looking for a place to eat. Without warning I bump into someone and hear a soft thud
"Ouch" said a female voice
"Oh my I'm so sorry!" I exclaim grabbing her hand and pulling her up
"I-it's ok" Said the girl, rubbing her forehead with both her hands. She looked to be in her late teens, early twenties at the most. She wore a battle dress that went up to her thighs, and long battle boots that ended just about her knees. There was extra padding on the dress and she seemed to brandish a very noble sword. She had chestnut hair and pink eyes with a pair of raccoon-like ears and a tail. It was an understatement to say she was the most beautiful girl I had ever met.
