why me?

As 4 rolled around I couldn't help but be jittery. As I sat on the couch wait for Elton I started to get nervous. What if he's only doing this because of my cancer? What if he just feels bad for me and doesn't want to hurt my feelings? As I thought this my phone vibrates and the front door opens. "(Y/n), you ready?"  Elton yells out causing me to rush to the door. As I got there we heard people rushing down the stairs. Elton panicks and pulls me out of the house quickly shoving me in the car before anyone could question us. As we drive down the road we sang along to music. I hadn't really thought of any of my insecurities like I was before. Who cares if I'm sick? He doesn't. At least in this moment in time I thought this way. We pulled into a beautiful restaurant. We entered and he told them the reservation name. Which made me think places like this takes weeks to get a reservation. I felt uneasy. Was this orginally meant for Amanda or was she busy so he settled with me? It seemed like he sense my uneasiness and grabbed my hand rubbing his thumb over the top part of my hand. I felt the heat on my face but I didnt care. As soon as we sat down the waitress said she would be back with our drinks. "So when did you get this reservation?"
"I got it about a week ago. When I realised my feelings about you."
"How do you feel about me?" I said with my face heating up. Elton chuckled lightly and grabbed my hand. "I like you (y/n). You're really beautiful and I love your personality. What I'm trying to say is would you like to-" Elton started but the waitress returned with our drinks. At this rate we both were blushing like crazy. We looked back at eachother and began to laugh cause we looked like we were caught doing some bad. "You know what forget about that last part. All you need to know is I absolutely admire you (y/n). Don't you dare forget that you are very admirable." He said smiling softly at me. I couldn't help but to smile brightly. "Elton you are the best person I've ever met. You're so outgoing, energetic, fun love around, and just all around perfect to me. Not to meant how handsome you are." I said then realised I pretty much confessed to the guy I've been crushing on for forever. Elton smiled at me. "You know you're quite an amazing woman to be able to just blurt out your feelings about someone."
"Hey you did it first!" When I said this he couldn't help but laugh at me. The thing I love most about him was how contagious his is overall. I never want to leave his side. "You know I'm 100% comfortable with you. I've never felt that way with anybody. You're just.... perfect." He said blushing lightly. "You know I'm not used to you blushing so much Elton." I smirked causing him to sigh. "What else are you supposed to do if you're confessing your feelings for someone." He said starting me straight in the eyes. "You have a point. Hey Elton I really like you." I said now blushing and making Elton's blush deepen. Elton went to say something but our food came out. We ate and talked for a while before we left the restaurant going back to the house. I felt great knowing he returned my feelings. The only thing I wasn't sure of is our relationship.
