ANOTHER day, school starts once again and all those cliché stuff happens once again infront of jeno.

today was quite different though, donghyuck didn't bother going to school today. which made jeno kind of worried, after seeing the state he was in yesterday, he couldn't help but imagine the things that may have happened to him.

i'm gonna check on him after school—

suddenly, someone came walking towards him. a familiar brunette, he wore the uniform nicely today, arms crossed as he gave a smirk. "lee jeno, right?"

jeno froze as he heard his name leaving the brunette's lips, instantly, he nodded. "yeah, na jaemin..?" the boy just chuckled before nodding as well.

"yeah, we're seatmates," he paused before raising a brow at jeno, "you know that right?" jeno just nodded before giving a nervous chuckle.

"so, what do you want?"

jaemin smirks, "straight to the point i see," the good friend vibe was now gone and was replaced by the cliché bad boys who want your money, well, jeno's broke. "anyways, i think you saw something yesterday."

"s-something?" jeno could tell that it was the scene where renjun and jaemin were talking in the alleyway, wait, did jaemin even see him? "what do you mean?"

"i meant me and renjun talking, your not the best at sneaking from behind, i noticed you," jaemin explained, jeno couldn't help but shiver as jaemin continued to speak.

"i'm not a huge fan of those kinds of people, so, instead of asking you for an apology," he grinned, "let's make a deal!"

jeno's eyes widened, "w-what do you mean?"

jaemin chuckled before placing his hands on his hips, "i can do anything to you in a snap of a finger, lee jeno," jaemin said jeno's name as if he was his prey, it only made jeno fear him even more. but one thing that didn't go out of jeno's view was jaemin's eyes. as he said jeno's name, it turned red. wait.. what?

"i can expel you from this school whenever i want, ruin you life, and kill you," he threatened, "so how about this, i have somewhere to go tomorrow," he paused, "so, for the deal, i'll be bringing you as my partner."

"WHAT?!"

"keep it down, only we should know about this, no one else can, so better shut your mouth, lee jeno," jaemin said through gritted teeth, jeno just shivered before nodding abruptly.

before any of them could leave, jaemin gave jeno an innocent smile before turning, "oh, and dress formal."

"father will be bringing all the people from the village, and let me tell you, i'm not so fond of the men in the village," jaemin said to renjun, the older just nodded as he continued listening to the younger's words.

"why can't you just go with me to the ball, renjun?" renjun sighed before shrugging, "i have a girlfriend, you know? ningning?"

"oh yeah.."

as they continued talking, jaemin couldn't help but notice a figure looking at them in the streets. an extremely familiar one, he squints his eyes to see lee jeno.

he tapped renjun's shoulder, "remember my seatmate?" the older raised a brow before nodding, "yeah, he saw us.."

just then, jeno's figure disappeared as loud footsteps came towards the two. jaemin turned to see mark lee, his red eyes growing as he smirks.

"what happened to you?" renjun asked, making mark chuckle as he crossed his arms. "got myself a match, and i tell you, he was adorable."

jaemin and renjun already knew that he was talking about lee donghyuck.
