When is enough...enough?

"Sean you want me to be honest right?"

"Yeah I do!"

"Okay, I'm being honest. Don't ask for something if you can't handle it once you get it." Sean stood from the couch just to get away from her. "Where are you going? Sean?!"

"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP FOR A SECOND PLEASE!!" He yelled. Sean paced around the room." Did you sleep with him?"

"No, I never cheated on you." Sean sucked his teeth as if he didn't believe her. Looking up at him she continued. "Sean I swear I never cheated on you. Detrick and I started off platonic and then when things were going bad with you I found an escape in him. He didn't even know I was married or had children. Once I told him he didn't want to cross any lines. When that man vomited down my shirt, I went to his house to get cleaned up and I didn't have any clothes to change into so he gave me his. That's what you found in the bag."

"Then why was it hidden deep in the closet?"

"Did you see how you reacted today? I was trying to avoid that and I forgot to give it back to him before he left the country. Never did I sleep with him, hell I didn't even kiss him."

"Why not?"

"What?" She asked.

"Why didn't you sleep with him? I'm sure you had plenty of opportunities."

"The night I was with him he was going to kiss me and the weirdest thing happened."

"What?" Sean asked staring her intently with his arms folded.

"I heard you praying." Sean looked at her with furrowed brows. "I heard you asking God to send me home safely and how much you loved me. I moved out of his way and told him about you and the kids. Sean if I'm guilty it's of not being truthful with you or him and allowing myself to get attached to him. I am guilty of having feelings for him but I didn't sleep with him, I promise." Taylour released the tears that were being restrained from overflowing. Sean let his arms fall to his side relieved that she didn't sleep with him. Sitting beside her he held his temples. "Sean do you believe me?" He nodded.

"Taylour I'm sorry for what I said today about Michelle." Taylour opened her mouth to speak but he held up his hand to stop her. "I was so angry and I knew that would cut you deep but I shouldn't have thrown that in your face again. I was wrong."

"I want to ask you something that I need to know. Why did you cheat on me?"

"Come on Taylour, let's not-"

"Sean, I need to know, please. I know there were a number of things but what was the breaking point?" Sean sighed nervously to answer the question but maybe it needed to be said.

"When you lost the baby Taylour you were broken and I understood that but in me trying to be strong for you I was breaking down myself with nowhere to turn. I was mad at God and you shut me out to the point you acted as nothing happened. All of a sudden work, the kids, and the church had more meaning than me. I needed you and it was like I was alone grieving by myself. When I would try and bring it up to you, it's like you changed the subject or just walked away."

"Sean I threw myself into those things because it hurt too bad to lose all that we had and I felt responsible. Do you know what it's like to have a child die inside of you and you're waiting to give birth to a baby that will never take its first breath or call you mommy? Laying in that hospital pushing and once she came out I waited for a miracle, thinking maybe I would hear her cry. Maybe she would come back to me and be where she was supposed to be...in my arms." Taylour said through a strained voice. Sean looked at her.

"The way you waited for her is what I've been doing for you since that day. Taylour I've been waiting for you to come back to me. I was trying to be patient and understanding but even when we made love it was like you weren't there with me. Then Michelle and I were working together around that time and she noticed how much of a mess I was."
