Nang iwan kami ni Dianne lumakad ako palapit Kay Mel at tumabi naman sya.

I close the door and then I face her. She's wearing a white pantsuit now, making her look more matured. Parang may lakad nga sya e tapos dumiretso lang sya dito.

"What brings you here at this night? "- I asked.

She stand straight and bore her eyes to me.

"Your boss.. Does she always sleep in here? "- she asked.

Confused by her question I still answer her with "Why? "

"Just answer me"- she said calm yet cold.

"No alright?,  I just did let her stay for the night because of her injury"- I said

Pinagmasdan nya ako at naiilang nako. She's looking at me as if she's searching if I'm really telling the truth.

"How did you know my address? "- I asked.

"I have my ways"- she said.

Stupid Annie!  Of course she has her way. She's a Carvajal!

Niyaya ko sya sa living room. I made her sit down on my couch.

"Kumain kana ba?"- I asked.

"Yes. "- she said.

"Are you sure? "- I asked again.

"I said yes--"- her sentence was cut off when her stomach made a sound.

"I guess you're not that sure"- I said.

I offer my hand to her pero tinignan nya lang yun.
"Opps my bad. You can walk pala. Sumunod kana lang sakin sa kusina"- sabi ko sabay bawi ng kamay ko.

I mentally slap myself when I'm heading towards my kitchen.
What was that offer thing Annie?!

While preparing dinner for her kasi tapos na kami ni Dianne kanina e, I did hear a clicking sounds of heels.

Pagkaharap ko nandun na sya.

"Sit down"- sabi ko at nilapag sa mesa yung kanin at adobo.

Hindi naman sya natinag kaya ako na ang humila sa kanya para umupo.

"Don't tell me susubuan pa kita"- sabi ko.

"Tsk,  I can manage"- she said at nagsimula ng kumuha ng pagkain.

I smile even though hindi nya nakikita. Umalis ako sa tabi nya at kumuha ng tubig for her tapos bumalik ako at nilapag yun sa tabi nya then I sit to the chair across her.

I smile mentally when I saw she's eating quietly.

"What's with your clothes?"- I asked.

Tinignan muna nya ako at uminom ng kaunting tubig.

"I should be having dinner with my family because of Marvin but I choose to leave and check up on you"- I said.

Nagsalubong naman ang kilay ko.

"Sino ba yung totoy na yun?"- I asked.

"My cousin"- she said making me sigh in relief.

Tsk. Muntik kona pagselosan. Pinsan pala nya.

"Dapat kumain ka muna bago ka nagpunta dito. And in the first place bakit gusto mokong icheck?"- I asked.

"Nagmamadali ka kasi kanina that's why I just wanted to make sure if you're fine. And base sa nakita ko... "- umasim naman yung mukha nya ng may maalala. "- mukhang okay ka naman"- dagdag nya at kumain ulit.
