Tangled Fates

Chapter 1:

The room was dark, the only light source came from the laptop rested on your lap. The only sounds that filled the quiet room that was your bedroom were the occasional gasps you would let out every time the characters in front of you would make annoying choices and decisions.

"I'm surprised they've came this far in life" you mumbled, reaching out for another handful of the snack that you were munching away at. But to your dismay, the bag was empty.

'Seriously?!'

You internally groaned. It had only been a few minutes since you've made yourself comfortable. With one last dramatic sigh, you flung your legs over the bed and crawled out of the little blanket cave you had created. The warmth instantly leaving your body
and a cold chill greeting you.

You chucked on one of your jumpers that had been neglected on the floor, and tried making your hair look somewhat decent. You gave yourself one last look in the mirror and decided that you looked okay enough to be seen around people. And with that, you walked out the door (and locked it of course) and started your journey to the 7-11 down the street.

It was still quite early out, leading to a lot of people to be flooding the streets. The fact that it was a Friday night didn't help. Along the way you heard many different conversations, some made you giggle, while others had you a tad bit concerned. But nonetheless your eyes had finally laid upon the beautiful building that was 7-11. You had unconsciously quickened your pace, and your eyes had grown hungry from eyeing down all the food inside.

The doors of the store opened for you when you had gotten close, making you feel as if you had just returned to your kingdom. Your second home as you'd like to call it. You had began slowly looking through all the different types of foods displayed on the shelves of the store and tried your hardest to make up your mind on what to eat.

'Why does everything look so tasty? Damn you food, making it hard for me to pick' you whined in your head.

Going down the last aisle, your eyes had finally landed on something that had you drooling. You quickly ran to snatch it up when you had seen another person eyeing it down at the opposite end to you. Examining the package, you were more than happy with what you had chosen. But the male down the other end wasn't too happy with you stealing the last bag.

"Hey" he shouted in your direction, with irritation clear in voice

"I saw that first, it's only fair that I get it" he continued, walking towards you now.

"Um I'm sorry sir, but that's not really how things work.. you've gotta pick it up for it to be yours. It's not like your name is written on here" you stated. Though you were nervous because of the size difference between you and the man, you were more hungry than
anything. You had just wanted to head home.

"Aish, what is wrong with this younger generation. The lack of respect is disgusting. How dare you be such a smart ass towards me!" (sorry for the bad language to those who might be offended!) The older male spat. Raising his arm to act as if he were about to smack you.

Flinching down, trying to protect you and the food, you ran past the older man and to the checkout. Thankfully he didn't follow you. But that didn't stop you from looking over your shoulder every now and again.

After purchasing your food, you walked back out onto the busy street. Looking down to your bag which held your food with a satisfied grin.

You were about halfway home when you had noticed a comic book stall set up on the side of the road. This instantly grabbed your attention and before you knew it, you were looking
through all the latest releases of your favourite mangas. Your eyes sparkling when you had found a limited addition book to your favourite manga at the moment. But unlike before, someone else had reached for it. Annoyed. You looked up to confront the book thief, and to try to get your book back. But all was put on pause when your eyes had been blinded by the gods above.

'Fudge my nuggets, how can someone actually be that good looking...'

Without realising, you had been staring at the now very confused handsome stranger for some time now.

"Uh.. can I help you" his voice was deep and raspy, perfectly complimenting his amazingly handsome features.

Trying to hide your blush and remind yourself of what the god in front of you has done, you gulped down any nervousness and said in a rather confident voice, that even surprised you.

"Actually yes, you can, for starters you could return the book. I was about to grab it when you snatched it away"

"I don't see your name on here" the line in which you had used before now flings back at you.

"But I guess you can have it. It's not for me anyway, so I honestly couldn't care. Just recommend me another good book to give to my friend" he chuckled.

'I'm wet'

"O-oh wow, okay, that's very nice of you. Are you sure your friend wouldn't mind?"

"I'm sure the kid will live. I'll just tell him that some gorgeous girl stole it before I could get to it" He smirked and added a little chuckle once again.

'It's like he knows he's freaking gorgeous.. just don't blushing or act dumb. We're not in some weird wattpad story. For real though'

"Ah thanks! I could give it to you after I've finished reading if you'd like?"

"Sure, that would be cool. Want to exchange numbers?"

Normally you wouldn't give my number out to random strangers, let alone a guy. But something other than his looks really comforts something inside of you.

"Ahaha sure, but I'm not afraid to block if you start acting creepy or some shit" you giggled.

He laughed before trying to defend himself.

"Anyways what's your name?"

"Y/n, what about you?"

"My name is...
