Everin, a high school graduate, got into a car accident that migrated her to the Midlands, another world similar to the medieval ages of her world. She encountered a perverted inn keeper while seeking for a job and the traumatic experience shaped the way she perceived the new world. Unable to get a job to supply her needs, she became a thief. Eventually her petty acts came to a stop when she got captured by two knights, Sir Lee and Sir Williams.

As a punishment, she worked as a servant and writer at the knight's residence for half a month. The only problem was that the knights believe that she is a man. Learning from her previous encounter and scared by the evil Sir Williams, she decided to hide her identity until she finished her punishment. However, hiding her identity as a woman isn't easy. She experienced her first period in the Midlands and learned to be grateful about modern sanitation and technology.

During her stay at the residence, Everin befriended a few other servants: Miss Lucy, the female head servant at the residence, and Taylor, Sir Lee's squire. When the end of Everin's punishment came close, Everin prepared to leave the residence, but little did she expect to bump into people from her world(or doppelgangers of): Kevin, her childhood friend, and Keltmen, Kevin's bully. In this world, Kevin is a servant who served an abusive master, Lord Bullock, while Keltmen is a high ranked noble who has a long time rivalry with Sir Lee and Sir Williams.

Due to Sir Williams' interference, she lost her chance to save Kevin from Lord Bullock. Without a solid plan, Everin was going to charge into Lord Bullock's castle, but Sir Lee stopped her and offered his help. He had knowledge and access to Lord Bullock's whereabouts and promised to reunite her with Kevin. In addition, Sir Lee suggested that Everin, who had nowhere else to go, to continue to stay at the residence.

Besides Everin's struggles, the people at the residence have their own problems to deal with. Sir Lee is dealing with the town's food storage and crime while Sir Williams is juggling between teaching and his own training for the hunt. Taylor is hiding from Sir Williams to avoid intensive training and Miss Lucy is being forced to marry a violent knight named Sir Ryker to settle her father's debt.

The peace at the residence is quickly disrupted when Sir Ryker's presences instilled fear among the servants. Everin was beaten up by the knight, but that didn't stop her from taking out a loan from Sir Lee to pay off Miss Lucy's debts. Later, a report about Sir Ryker's violent behavior was made and the knight is kicked out of the residence. Peace is once again restored at the residence.

Raventown was known for being the epicenter of the affluent. Wealthy nobles and famous knights all reside in Raventown, a hillside away from Lord Bullock's castle. Smithtown, well known for its craftsmanship in equipment and weapons, housed the best blacksmiths and trained the strongest men for the army. The two neighboring towns were separated by a thick forest of trees. As a tradition that started generations ago, the forest between the two town, known as Ravenwoods, is occasionally sectioned off for hunting.

Hunting was a way for both towns to celebrate and to honor their friendly rivalry. Only qualifying participants (nobles and the knights) from both towns and nearby towns can join the hunt. This year Lord Bullock promised to greatly reward the person with the largest game in hopes that more people will attend.

Everin carried the equipment from the wagons to the makeshift tents outside of the woods. A day prior to the hunt, servants were sent to the campsite to set up the tents and to prepare clean water. If Everin knew, she would have come yesterday to the site in order to see Kevin a day sooner. She peeked out the tent and saw a lot of knights bustling around the campsite. They were crowding around the dining area. Oh, she envied how they ate a feast before going into the woods to hunt. She had only half a loaf of bread this morning.
