Chapter 22

We walked walked to get into Jack's car and he started diving to my house.
"Do you think your mom would like us?" Corbyn randomly asks
"Hopefully? I don't know" I respond
"What was her reactions when she met Jack?" Zach asks
"She thought he was a sweet guy and wanted me to date him but I didn't" I say and open Instagram. 99+ dm requests. Geez.
"Aww you and Jack would've been so cute together" Corbyn says "Ohhh wait you met him during his MAJOR fuckboy phase" He adds remembering that was a thing that happened.
"Yeah but I did the same shit he was doing just you know with guys" I respond then immediately regret it.
"Wait wait wait, you slept around with guys!?" Corbyn says sounding completely shocked.
"Maybe" I mumbled still slightly hating that part of my life.
"Aw too bad I didn't know you then, maybe you wouldn't play so hard to get" Zach says jokingly
"Maybe you wouldn't have been such an asshole, oh wait you've always been that way" I say as a joke back
"Ouch that hurt" He says and pretends to be offended.
"I don't think Daniel would like you stealing his line" I say and giggle
"Well Daniel isn't here so HA" He says and smiles
"Fair point" I say and go back on my phone
"So how many guys have you slept with y/n?" Corbyn asks obviously still curious about my past
"A lot. Mostly juniors and seniors when I was in freshman year. But then I met Liam and we dated for a while-" I start
"And then he turned out to be a completely fucking asshole and broke her heart" Jack says, cutting me off and finishing my sentence.
"Yeah" I add
"Ohh that's why you don't want Liam going to your party" Corbyn says barely realizing that
"I thought you were the smart one?" I say to him
"I am.....most of the time" He says but says the second part quieter.
"And we're here!" Jack says and parks outside
"Thanks for the ride" I say and get out the car. I had my bag and hoodie in one hand, and my phone in the other. I walked to the drivers window and leaned down to see Jack
"Bye noodle head see you tomorrow" I say and we do our secret handshake.
"Bye y/n see you tomorrow, if you need anything just call me." He says as I walk to the other side of the car
"Okay" I say and walk to Corbyn's window "Bye bean"
"Bye y/n" I was gonna say bye to Zach but instead he got out the car and immediately gave me a huge hug. I, of course, hugged him back tightly.
"I'm sorry for being such an asshole but if you need anything you know I'm always here no matter what" He says quietly so that only I can hear. I looked up at him and he looked down at me. I was really tempted to lean in but got too nervous and just didn't
"Thanks Zach" I say and smile
"Anything for you" He says and smiles too
I started walking to the front door when Zach shouted my name
"What?" I ask confused and now far away from him.
"Catch" He says and throws me his green hoodie he just had on. I have fast reflexes and caught it. "You can keep it" He shouts "And wear whenever you need a hug but can't get one from someone. It's like a hug from me" He adds and then smiles. Aww I love his smile.
"Aw thanks Zach" I say and put it on.
"You look better in it than me. Have a great day! Text me later" He continues saying as he gets back in the car.
"I will and thank youu" I say and wave bye as Jack drove away. I continued walking to the front door and opened it. My mom never usually locks it. I walked in to see my mom in the kitchen she turned around to me and smiled.
"Hey sweetie" She says and grabs a water bottle from the fridge.
"Hey mom so what's the important thing?" I asked and walked into the kitchen with her.
"Oh I just wanted to spend a day with my girl" She says and smiles
"Aw okay. What are we gonna do?"
"Ice cream at Santa Monica Pier?" She suggests
"Yesssss" I say excitedly. We both started to walk out the door when I remembered I had Zach's hoodie. I put my stuff down and put his hoodie on. While I put it on I could still smell his cologne, I hugged the hoodie and smiled then continued to go outside.
"I'll drive us" My mom says and closes the front door. I turned around to her, still continuing to walk to respond
"Okay" And turn around and bump into someone riding their skateboard
"On my gosh I'm so sorry- Daniel?" I say but then realize it was Daniel.
"That's not really how you stop someone to say hi" He says and rubs gravel off his arm.
"I'm so sorryyy" I say and offer a hand and help him get back up.
"Is that Zach's hoodie?" He asks
"Y- yeah maybe" I say quietly and turn to see my mom who was waiting in the car.
"Did you guys fu-" He starts
"Nonononoonnooooooo we did not and don't you dare to even finish that sentence. He just gave it to me when him Jack and Corbyn dropped me off" I say cutting him off as soon as I knew what he was gonna say
"Sure you didn't" He says and smirks
"What are you doing here anyways this is like not the direction where you live" I ask
"Oh I'm gonna go meet up with Bryana at a cafe a few blocks from here"
"Oh cool well I gotta go Im spending the day with my mom I guess"
"Alright bye see you tomorrow"
"Bye Dani" I say and he gets back on his
skateboard and skates away. I walk to the car back to my mom
"So who's that boy?" She asks
"Oh just Daniel he's Jack's friend and band mate" I respond and sit in the passengers seat
"He looks like a very nice boy. Is there anything between you two?" She asks
"Nope he's really sweet tho"
"Aw that's nice"
"Yeah" I awkwardly say
"You two would be cute together" She says and starts the car and starts driving.
"Nah he's not my type" I say and pull the sleeves of the hoodie over my hands more than they already were since it was huge on me.
