Raindrops slammed themselves against the other side of cold glass which you rested your head on. The glass lightly shook as tons of harsh thunder bombarded your ear drums. Lighting was constantly flying across the deep mahogany sky, the flashes of light outlining the layers of the rich purple clouds. If the flashes were consistent enough, you could make out the shape of a lengthy funnel moving across the very distant terrain.

It was a heavy and violent storm, but it was damn gorgeous.

You knew the tornado was tearing up the world underneath it as it passed, and you knew the lightning flying across the sky struck a building in the distance that burst into flames among contact.

Yet you were still enchanted by the beauty of it.

Something wrapped itself around your upper thigh. With a galnce, you caught sight of a familiar white tail wrapped around you. You then looked back at the tyrant you were resting your back on. He had a single eye open, his red eye meeting your own two orbs before he closed both his eyes and snaked his arms around your waist, pulling you even closer to him.

A sudden flash of light lit up his white face with a majestic glow as you stared up at him. He looked so peaceful, it was almost difficult to belive you witnessed this same alien tear an arm off of a soldier and then proceed to kill him only just an hour ago.

Yet, despite the murder he just comitied, you leaned your head backwards and left a light kiss on the side of his jaw. His grip on you tightend as you brought your gaze back to the raging storm outside.

You just couldn't help it; the most beautiful things were the most violent.

Just thought I'd use this little drabble as a kick off for this book.

This one was inspired during a storm, can't you tell?
