Abby was on a hunting trip with her brother when the dead started walking and devouring the living. She had no contact with anyone and no way of knowing what exactly was going on with the rest of the world. The end hit her like a brick with no warning at all. She's left alone with only despartion to find her husband, Shane, pushing her forward. Luckily, her close friend, Rick, discovers her hiding out and close to insanity.
