"Hi." I say to the kid.
"Hey Maya." He said.
"It's crazy that I still never got your name."
"Haha right. Lucas."
So he is Lucas.
Wait. Riley is friends with Lucas?
Yes!
"Well, nice meeting you Lucas." I say.
"Awe. Little maya! She's all grown up she touched a boy! Awe so cute!" I heard.
It was missy. Lucas and I turned towards her.
"Missy." Lucas started.
"Lucas." Missy said to Lucas.
"Leave maya alone."
"I'm good."
"Seriously. You got what you wanted. Maya was embarrassed and you got your spot in popularity. Leave her alone."
"Or what? Your going to protect her? Like she can be protected. Please her family doesn't even care about her. No one does."
"We'll i do. So stop."
"Lucas stop." I beg while a tear falls down my face.
The bell then rang.
Missy left.
"You happy?" Lucas asked disappointed.
"Yeah! Why did you defend me! I can defend myself! I'm not a child." I argue.
"Really? Because you were called an alcoholic and all you did was run away."
"I didn't run away!"
Tears were streaming down my face.
"Pretty much." Lucas said.
"Wow. I thought someone would be the least bit of nice to me but I was wrong!"
I leave Lucas. I hit his shoulder with mine while leaving.
