Prologue

Amelia

Everything is heavy and aching ; my head my eyelids and my limbs . I hate it that I can't move or even open my eyes. I can feel my body moving , whatever I am laying down in .. It's moving. Maybe It's a car . It's been a while since the last time I have been in a car ... Years

Where are they taking me ?

I try opening my hands or my eyes but I can't . Nothing moves . The sound of the car's engine hits my ears as my consciousness hovers , a distant voice became clearer.

It's him.

"I'm on my way" he says , He must be talking with someone on the phone cause I didn't hear a response

On his way to where ?

"Yes , She is with me" he continues

Who is he talking with ?

"I'm always careful don't worry , see you tomorrow sis" he chuckles . Sis ?

Unfortunately , unconsciousness started to take over .. Again

I start to gain my consciousness as the fog of earlier lifts , but I can't hear anything the car is not moving anymore. I don't even know if I'm still in the car

Where am I ? Why can't I hear anything ? Where is he ? Did he Leave me alone and left ?

as I started to panic I heard the car door open and then close again as someone got in.

"Sorry , I had to leave you here alone for a while , but I needed to refill the car's tank and my tank " he chuckles "I didn't want to leave you alone for a long time so I just bought some snacks , biscuits and juice cans for the road . We still have couple of hours 'till we get there"

Where the hell is there ?

"I don't know whether you can hear me or not , but if you can hear me I want you to know that I'm sorry for what I did . It was the only way to get you out of there without anyone getting suspicious" he sighs , voice filled with guilt

"I'm so very ..." I couldn't hear his next words cause unconsciousness took over again

NO !!

As I surface from the fog one more time I can hear a song playing on the radio . I know it but I can't remember it's name . It's been years since the last time I heard that song . It's something with tiger .. 'Eye of the tiger' .. That's it , That is the name of the song

"Do you like rock ? I love it myself " he said excitedly

"Forgive me" he suddenly said

"I know .. I don't deserve your forgiveness , but I need it" he sighs , but before I could even think about his words the fog closes in ..

No not again !!

I hear garbled voices as I gain my consciousness .. Again

"Why is she still unconscious ?" he asked frustrated

I'm asking the same Question too.

"You need to give her time , her body is weak . It's very weak . She will wake up when she is ready" A feminine voice said

"But ..."

"No buts , look at her for God's sake !! she is underweight , her body is covered with scars . she is like a Skelton covered with skin .. a very thin layer of skin . I don't even know how she is still alive till now , I know you're worried , but you need to give her time she'll eventually wake up" She sighs

Believe me .. I want to wake up.

The fog drags me down again.

No !!

As I surface from the fog this time I can open my eyes , I'm laying on a bed in a clean room and all is quiet . The sun is blazing through the windows . My throat is burning , I need some water . I notice the IV attached to my left arm on the inside of my elbow . Turning my head to the side , I see him . He Is asleep , sitting beside me and leaning on my bed with his head on his folded arms . I reach out and put my hand on his shoulder . Suddenly , as in alarm he rises his head .

"Hey ! How are you felling ?" he asks relieved while holding my hand

"Water" I whisper .. more like choke

"Okay" he says and helps me to sit before leaving the room . Suddenly , I feel unprotected

God !! my body's aching

He returns with a pitcher of water . We both fall silent , gazing at each other as he pours out a glass and hands it to me

"Small sips now" he warns . I nod and take a sip of cool water

Oh God ! It feels good .

I take another sip .. and another .. and another till I finish the glass with him watching me intently the whole process.

"Morning" said a blonde girl while walking in.

She must be his sister .

"Oh !! You are awake" She smiled nervously "I .. I am Thea" she said holding her hand out for me to shake.

"You must be his sister" I said shaking her hand "I heard him talking on the phone . he called you sis"

"Uh-huh .. I think you have questions" she said looking at him then back to me

"Yes , And I want to know everything from the very first beginning" I said

"I'll tell you everything" then he started telling me everything
