THE NERD IS A GANGLEADER

CHAPTER 22

"I love you too!!" She shouted back and I chuckled.

"Why would she call me though?" He asked and a small smile appeared on my lips.

"I don't know Aiden, I don't know." I said and he looked at me suspiciously but shook it off.

"How are you holding up?" He asked and I sighed.

"I'm surprisingly doing okay." I said giving him an honest answer. After my little outing with Emma today, I am starting to feel a little better.

"That's good to hear." He said and I nodded.

"How about you guys, are you all ok?" I asked and he sighed shaking his head.

"Some of the guys still haven't spoken and Adrian is blaming himself for your kidnapping. He's saying that he should have known before hand and that he's worthless." Aiden said and I shook my head.

"That's absurd. He couldn't have known because it shocked us all and I'm still in shock," I said and he nodded in agreement. 

"I tell him he just keep repeating that he has let you down" He said and I sighed.

" Come on, we're going over there." I said and got up. I didn't bother to put on my jacket, I went down and told those two kids to come along. Tyler went with Aiden and Emma came with me. When we got there. Emma's eyes went wide. 

"Scar, this house is MASSIVE!" She shouted and I laughed. I got out and Tyler had the same reaction, I shook my head in amusement.

I opened the door and saw Jason and Mike sitting on the couch. They came over and gave me a mini group hug. I went to the kitchen and saw Troy and Mason stuffing their faces. They sent me a smile and I just shook my head. I went down in the basement to see Simon. When I got there, I saw him and dad and embracing each other. I slowly backed away, giving some alone time.

I walked to the back yard and saw Aiden staring into the forest ahead. I quietly opened the door and walked up behind him. He didn't seem to notice so I took the empty seat beside him. He turn his head and slightly jumped at the sight of me.

" Scar, what are you doing here, you scared me." He said running his hand through his hair. I slowly took in his appearance. Under his eyes were dark, his hair was a mess and his body was tense. I opened my arms to him and he gladly came into my embrace.

"I'm so sorry Scarlett." He said and I  rubbed his back.

"There is nothing to be sorry about Aiden, it wasn't your fault. I assured him but he violently shook his head.

"This is all my fault! I should've known before Scar,what if something happened to you! I don't-" he said.

"Adrian! I'm not gonna sit here and listen to you blame yourself for something nobody saw coming! You are no more different than any of us so u were just as oblivious as all of us.  We all feel bad after last night's events   Adrian, you're not alone in this. So stop beating yourself up over this, it wasn't your fault okay." I said and he nodded.

I hugged him again, tighter than before. I never usually see him like this but when I do, it pains me. I pulled away and gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"Let's go inside." I said and we got up and went back in. We walked in and Aiden gave him a big hug and he gladly returned it. I smiled at the sight and walked away giving them a moment.

Walking back to the living room, i saw Emma and Max sitting infront of the computer and Max was showing her some stuff. Since the day I met Emma, she was interested in technology and stuff like that.
