Chapter 32:
Cara’s POV:
“Your gonna lose Hemmings!!!” I was hitting the buttons on the controller vigorously, damn Mikey for getting me addicted to this blasted game.
“Oh no I don’t think so “ luke just chuckled and kept his eyes glued to the screen
I was so close to victory, so close, I had to shoot one more person in this blasted game. I never truly played video games all that often but when I played for the first time with Mikey, I was hooked.
“Come on, come on…. YES I WON!” I threw my arms in the air and was practically jumping with joy
Luke just sat on the ground shocked. “But but bu- I don’t understand how the-“
“Awe is Lukey upset that he lost?” I pouted trying to mock Luke but he just looked at me like “really”
I just laughed and still mentally cheered that I had beat Luke.
Sneakily, Luke came up behind me and startlingly wrapped his arms around my waist “Your lucky I love you”
I turned around so I was facing him, his arms still wrapped around my waist, I hooked my arms around his neck and just smiled “Yeah I guess I am, and I love ya too”
He leaned in and before I knew it his lips were on mine. The kiss was gentle and sweet, as our lips moved in sync the kiss got deeper and with more passion. I entangled my fingers in his hair and his grip on my waist got tighter as he pulled me closer.
“Hey Luke can I have my – oh im sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt anything” Luke and I pulled apart to see Mikey standing in the doorway with a big grin spread across his face
Luke chuckled slightly “No it’s fine Mikey what did ya need?”
“Oh I was coming to as if I could get Call of Duty, but I see I walked into something else” I felt like I was blushing like a fool
Luke looked over at me, he noticed I was blushing because he leaned over and kissed the tip of my nose then just smiled “It’s fine Mikey believe me”
Mikey walked over to the TV and was about to pick up the game till he perked up like a jack in the box “Oh by the way, Ashton wanted me to inform you that he went out with Gabby to buy new drumsticks, cause he apparently broke them, just like he broke his drum kit” we all burst out into laughter at the memory of Ashton stopping the whole gig just to announce that he broke his drums.
“Typical Irwin for ya” Mikey and I nodded our heads in agreement.
“Anywho thanks for letting me get the game and next time I will be sure to announce myself before entering a room” Mikey chuckled as he left. I on the other hand was still blushing like a fool, somewhat embarrassed at the fact that Mikey walked in on us.
