Chapter 9:
Faith’s POV:
-After the ice cream-
“Hey babe can I have the keys? Cara, Gabby and I want to drive with just us girls. Please?” I used my puppy dog eyes on Mikey, which was his weakness.
“Ugh but babe I wanted to drive back with you” replied Mikey with a pout face on
“Please????” I tried my hardest to tear up which would make Mikey feel bad. But I didn’t like to make him feel bad.
“Fine, but I don’t want to see you getting hurt.” Said Mikey as he handed me the keys to the second Camero
Cara, Gabby and I left the ice cream parlor, got in the car and drove off.
“Hey! Turn it up Gabby” Cara screamed from the back of the car.
Gabby turned up the volume to the radio and we began to jam to jam to “The Only Reason” by nobody other than our guys themselves. Since we hear this song all the time, we all knew every single word.
“Hey guys can we turn this down, I can’t focus” Gabby kept her eyes on the road, yet tried to reach the volume nob.
“Sure thing” said Cara
Today was one of the best days I have had in a long time.
Gabby’s POV:
I was now behind the wheel of Mikey’s new car and let me just say I was shaking with nerves. Music was blaring throughout the car, which caused me to lose focus on my driving.
“Hey moron move out of the way” I screamed at the driver in front of me who looked like he didn’t know how to drive
Cara and Faith just stared in shock, confused at what just happened.
“Sorry guys its just this guy is being really stupid and its ticking me off” I pulled out from behind him and passed him.
“Hey Cara” I asked keeping both of my eyes on the road.
“Yeah Gabs?” she asked
“Can you reach over to my bag, grab my phone and-“ something just rammed right into the car.
Oh my god
Ashton’s POV:
The girls left around 10 to 15 minutes ago. The guys and I were just ready to leave till in the distance we spotted thick black smoke rising from the distance.
I immediately looked at Luke and nerves just ran right through my body.
“Mikey call the girls and Luke call 9-1-1. We got to go, NOW!!!” we all rushed outside to the car and began our way to the sight of the smoke.
“The girls aren’t answering” Mikey exclaimed cursing underneath his breath
“Damn” I cursed out loud slamming my hand on the horn
‘The Fire Dept. and the ambulance are on their way” said Luke who eyes were getting watery
No one spoke the rest of the car ride. I just hoped and prayed the girls weren’t involved with this because if they are and they get hurt then I don’t I could live with myself.
We finally arrived to the source of the smoke and I immediately froze. I recognized that car; it was Mikey’s
Luke’s POV:
Ashton drove as fast as he could. My heart just sank at the sight of Mikey’s car that was now engulfed in flames. I ran from the car towards the burning car. I heard the sirens in the distance but I couldn’t wait, if the girls were in there I needed to get them out now, especially Cara.
“Cara!!!” I shouted around the car but no response
I tried to touch the door handle but I burned my hand in the process because the door was scorching hot.
I looked for a rock to break the window then remembered that if I broke the window the fire would spread even faster, ending the lives of the girls who possibly are alive right now.
I looked back at the car and recognized something in the car; it was the outline of 3 figures and I knew it was the girls.
Gabby’s POV:
I woke up to increasing light as well as heat. I looked over my right shoulder and saw that Cara and Faith were completely out cold. I looked out the front of the car and noticed the car was wrecked in addition to it being on fire and the fire was spreading rapidly.
“Oh my god” I shouted as I tried to grab the handle but I jumped back since the handle was increasing with heat.
I tried shaking Cara abruptly to get her to wake up but no one moved. I was now getting really scared. The fire was continuing to spread rapidly and it was really hot in the car now. Just then I heard someone yelling for Cara; it was Luke.
“Luke we are in here!!!! LUKE!!!” I screamed as loud as I could but I was losing oxygen because all the smoke filling throughout the car.
I peered through the window and noticed a strange figure about 20 feet away from the car, and that’s when I noticed who it was; it was him; it was sir.
