Chapter 21:
Ashton POV:
Gabby just leaped in front of my and took a punch for me. She crouched to the ground gripping her stomach in pain and the cop just stood there in shock. Like way to go moron, thanks to your stupidity you just hurt my sister.
I looked down the “line” of the rest of the guys and Cara and Faith were crouched in front of Calum and Luke because they must have taken the hit for them too. Unfortunately, Mikey didn’t have anyone to stand in front for him so he got a hit to the gut. I felt bad, from the looks of it Mikey and the girls must have taken a brutal beating to the gut. The cops backed off of us, probably because they just hit our little sisters and they were aiming for us.
Mikey stood up then Cara then Gabby then Faith. I grabbed a hold of Gabby’s hand and pulled her behind me and just stared down our mom. How could she do this? Had she truly lost all sense as if I would ever hurt Gabby? If she truly thought I would even THINK of hurting Gabby then my mom obviously didn’t know me.
None of our mom’s said a word. They just stood there, occasionally glancing at the girls to check if they were alright but they didn’t say anything.
“How could you guys do this to us? Do you honestly think we would have the intentions to hurt them?” Mikey shouted with irritation in his voice
“Do you think I would hurt Gabby or lay a hand on Faith?” Oh shit what did I just say?
“Wait what? What do you mean? Why would you say you wouldn’t lay a hand on Faith?” Mikey was about to kill me
“Could you possibly think that I would hurt Cara? For heaven’s sake she’s my little sister, I love her to death. And do you honestly think Ashton would let me hurt Gabby, let alone hurt her himself?” Calum literally just save my ass from getting beaten up by Mikey.
“We don’t know what to think of you guys anymore, based on what the girls wounds look like.” That was a load of bull
“Really? So you think we did that to them? “ Luke yelled this time
I know none of the girls liked yelling but we weren’t going to have them be taken away from us for a false reason and we weren’t letting them go without a fight. I don’t care what we had to do, none of us were going to lose our girls again.
Our mother’s didn’t say anything. They just stood there and held their ground. They looked at us dead in the eyes and tilted their heads up. What they were looking at I didn’t know but the nodded their heads forcefully and then it hit me. We forgot the cops were behind us. Oh great. I was about to turn around to block Gabby from the cops but then something extremely hard hit all of us in the back of the head, including the girls and I caught a glimpse of everyone just fall to the pavement of the court house walk way then everything just went black.
Faith’s POV:
My head pounding against my skull, I carefully got up and I didn’t recognize where I was. The bed looked different; I knew I wasn’t back at the guys house because I would have been in Mikey’s room.
