Authors note: hey guys :) I know, I know; I marked this collection as competed but I just had the most amazing idea and wanted to share it with you!

When our walk first began we both spoke freely. Taking turns, we'd share secrets and stories. Once I had shared a story and in return got silence from him. I had asked what it was that I had done but he said it was nothing to worry about. The two of us continued our walk. Now when I spoke he'd hesitate before responding. I hadn't known what I had done. This path we were on was getting wider, so naturally we spread out a bit, giving one another some space. I had begun to fell sad then, truly sad. I tell him, "I don't like the way things are going."

He stays silent for a little while the he looks at me. "then fix it." I wanted to, but we both knew I couldn't on my own. He had said to fix it but wasn't even trying to. It almost seemed as though he fought to make things worse. This whole time we stayed on the path, still walking together, but not really together anymore. Our path was leading to an end, I could see it; the cliff it lead to. Fog would be the only thing there to lessen the fall. I look up at him. "We need to stop."

Behind us now I see the dirt breaking away and falling into oblivion, soon being replaced by fog.

"Stop what?" He had asked, continuing on.

Then the path ahead of us started to break away similarly as to behind us.

"This." I beg. If we kept moving we'd fall, alternatively if we stayed we'd fall too.

"I don't understand what you mean." He snarls.

What happened next, happened too quickly. He grabs the back of my neck and the arm closest to him. With a great amount of strength he pushes me off the path. I scream as I fall down along with the breaking path. Suddenly, I am back on my feet, standing on a piece of the path. Much like an elevator, it floats upward.

I make it up there in time to see the path crumble away underneath him. He falls beneath the fog.

I'm now left alone, standing on my own path. It starts to grow, a corner stretching forward. I started to walk, leaving him, and the broken path behind.
