Stop Running

I saw myself running on endless road,
Looking back is not so good,
As I try to get away,
Tethered like the night to the day.

I was proud I didn't stumble,
Too proud that I made a gamble,
As I run, I saw a bus,
I was so happy, then my heart crashed.

The one I am trying to run away from,
Is on the bus with his crossed arms,
I want to get out from there,
But I got hooked with his devilish smile and playful stare.

The bus stopped and I start to run again,
But he was there like a constant pain,
I couldn't get out from his glimpse,
He even sees as I limp.

Then, I hide from his eyes,
I was so happy he left my sight,
But, then he was just there all the time,
Waiting to lay his eyes on mine.

I was tired from running,
So, I held his hand as we were walking,
What can you do when someone offers you security?
What can you do when someone offers, "run with me"?

I end up dependent with his touch,
The race end with a love this much.
So be careful who you run away from,
For he might be the one you need to run into.
