mom

I lay in her bosom,

the soothing soft sound

of her hearkening heart

singing hymns of love.

As a mother I could only

tend to his every need.

As a baby I could only offer

her smiles and cries.

I remember when I was in the womb,

waiting to get out to be hugged by my mom.

her love was pumped into my ventricles.....
