My mom knocking had broke me out of my thoughts.

"(Y/N)! Get up! You need to start getting ready for your big day!" My mom yelled from the other side of the door.

"Okay!"

I got up from underneath the warm covers and did my morning routine. Once I was finished, I walked through the hallway and into the kitchen. To my surprise, my mom had cooked me breakfast.

"Good morning!" She said all bubbly, "Look at my fifteen year-old! Ai mija. My baby is all grown up!" She cooed while pulling me into a tight mama-bear hug. I gently wrapped my hands around her as well.

"Okay m-mom. Can't b-breathe."

She nodded her head and apologized while leading me over to the dining table. There were pancakes stacked on a plate, cut-up fruit in a bowl, scrambled eggs, and of course some coffee. Which was for both of us. With my mother being Hispanic, she started giving me small cups when I was four.

"Thanks mamì!"

After me and her had devoured all the food I started to get ready.

"You look stunning! Voy a llorar!" Mom said tearing up.

I smiled at her from the mirror. I looked back at myself. Damn, I do look good.

I was wearing a long, form-fitting dress that hugged all my curves. It didn't show of too much of course, my mother would never allow it. I had my hair down, along with makeup which was pretty basic. Just lipstick the color of my dress and the rest natural.

"Oh! One more thing!" My mom said.

She grabbed something on the table. It was a small box with a bow on it. She opened it to reveal a necklace with my birthstone.

"Mamì!" I gasped.

She came up behind the chair I was sitting in, and connected the necklace around my neck. It sat perfectly in the center of where my collar bones were. It was beautiful.

"Ready mija?"

"Ready." I smiled.

"Damn girl! Look at you." Jamal said while I twirled around in my dress.

I was hanging out with Monse and Jamal. We were all hanging out by the food. None of us were in the mood for dancing. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people here but I barely knew them. Kinda sucked, but at least I was having fun.

"(Y/n). Ruby just texted me. He wants to talk." Monse said while furrowing her eyebrows.

Uh oh.

"Did something happen?" Jamal asked.

"What? No. I guess I have to talk to him." I laughed. Shit, they could see straight through that lie.

I walked inside my house and to my room. Ruby was sitting on my bed looking down. I hadn't seen him all night. He looked up when he noticed my presence.

"Holy shit." He muttered.

I smiled lightly walking inside the room.

"You wanted to talk?"

Ruby nodded motioning for me to sit on the bed. I sat down and folded my hands on my lap. Well this is awkward.

"I'm sorry (Y/n). What I did was messed up. I should have thought about what you wanted. I took over and you didn't even like what I was doing. So I apologize."

"It's fine. The party's fun. So, thanks." I looked down.

He lifted my chin up softly with his hand. Woah. He stared at me and slowly leaned in. Once our faces were and inch apart, I took the advantage to close it.

Oh my god. Me and Ruby were kissing. It was amazing.

I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck as he deepened the kiss. We broke off so I could breathe. He grinned at me. I blushed.

"Will you be mine?" He whispered.

"I'm already yours."

i have a feeling ruby might be a lot more shorter than you, so that kiss might have been ironically awkward
