Well that got philosophical
I nod back at her, "You do have a point there." There is a small point of silence before she speaks again. "You know we should introduce ourselves before anything else."
I chuckle awkwardly, such an important factor that almost got missed. "Fine fine, I'm Tyler Joseph. What about you?"
She brings up one of her legs to her chest, holding it in with one arm before speaking, "Ah me? Well I'm Jenna Black."
That name sounded eerily familiar, nostalgic even. Despite this feeling, I couldn't pin it to anything. I push the thought to the side as I focus on the here and now. "Well it's nice to meet you, I'm Tyler Joseph."
She gave off a soft smile before things fell silent again. This time however it was a comfortable silence. It stayed that way for a couple of minutes until Jenna broke the silence again.
"So Tyler, if it's okay to ask, do you remember anything from the times before DEMA?"
The question felt very sudden, something I wasn't expecting. I reluctantly answer though, "It's not a huge personal question so yeah I can answer. In all honesty I can't remember much. The important things I can recall is the band me and my best friend had before this."
Jenna seemed rather intrigued by this, "Ooo a band? That's awesome! I never done much that thrilling in my life! At least from what I can recall. What's the name of your band?"
I hesitate for a second before telling her, "The name is Twenty One Pilots, commonly written with a slashed O in the one and pilots."
"That's so cool! Wow you must have had such an eventful life outside of here!" She excitingly responded.
I look down from her and reply, "I couldn't say that's for sure, I'm not even aware of our following or anything else anymore."
She frowns slightly but quickly attempts to lift the atmosphere, "Well I doubt that you aren't at least some what popular. You seem like a pretty chill person so that has to mean many other people would like you too."
I chuckle at that. She was determined to make me happy huh? "Thanks for that I guess."
She smiles back, "No problem. Now let's see wel- oh shit is that sunrise?" She panics. "I have to go somewhere right now, I'll see you around, okay Tyler?"
I nod back, "Yeah of course!"
And with that, Jenna sprints away. I small chat helped to get my spirits up so I to get up and walk towards the dining hall.
It's still pretty early in the morning so hardly anyone is in the dining hall at the moment. The doors were already unlocked and food was just about ready to be served. I silently make my way to retrieve some nutrition and sat at one of the many empty tables.
Surprisingly, I didn't hear the door open or the footsteps coming toward me, I only noticed it when the voice spoke.
"Good morning Number 1021." Immediately I knew it had to be one of the bishops. Praying that it wasn't Nico, I look up.
"Oh, hello Bishop Sacarver." I replied. It's a bit strange to see him around this early and in this area but I chose not to question it too much.
Sacarver lightly laughed, "I can tell you are questioning why I am here." Should have remembered the Bishops are basically mind-readers. "Well simply because I was sent to find you. I'll have to consult many others as well today but it's my luck to find you up and about so early."
I began to chew on my lip, an anxiety habit. Despite him thankfully not being Nico, I felt pretty intimidated by him. "Oh...what did you need me for?" I question.
