•Chapter 6: Twenty Øne Piløts•

Y/N's POV:

"Hi, I'm Y/N L/N, nice to meet you Tyler."

Tyler gives me a slight smile, in return I give one as well

There was a couple seconds of silence before the yellow haired disrupted it.

"Great great, that's done now may I introduce myself? I am Josh Dun, Tyler's greatest friend"

"You're my only friend" Tyler responds

Josh gave him an annoyed look. "Ty, don't ruin the moment here" Tyler chuckled in response and I admit, I kinda did also

I can already tell, these two were such weird dorks

Wait a minute, wasn't I suppose to ask Josh about his demeanor?

I put on a serious face and stare up at Josh. "Josh, what the hell do you think you are doing coming in every day like it's just another day of your life? Me, others and maybe even Tyler himself are annoyed by it because it's almost like a way of mocking us who haven't yet felt at home."

He just stares back at me, questioning what exactly I was going on about

"Hey it's not like I can change who I am Y/N, either way I thought a bit of happiness could brighten the mood of this place and the people here. Is it a bad thing that I'm at least trying?"

Josh did have a point. I mean if that's who he really is, I know myself that you cannot change who you really are. It still isn't gonna stop me from being a bit agitated about it

"Okay yeah I understand Josh, just before doing anything, ask what others might think of your actions before you do them. Just so you know they would be fine with whatever you do"

He sighed. " I was hoping you would be understanding Y/N but I guess you don't see my point of view on things."

"Yeah and I wonder who does." Tyler chuckled

Josh clutches his chest dramatically "Damn Ty, that hurt."

"Anyway" Tyler abruptly continued. "Joshua here pulled you in to be able to get to know you better, so why not tell us a bit about yourself?"

I nodded and thought for a second. I don't do well when I comes to conversations, especially when having to introduce myself. Not to mention I hardly remember anything of my past before coming here. I worry whether they would think I'm an amnesiac because I forgot everything.

"Uhh" I respond, "Well I'm 28 years old from (City, Country), born in (birth month and day) 1989. I enjoy (3 hobbies). Let's see, I had a pretty normal life until 7th grade when...stuff happened. I can't really remember the main cause. I had a decent family, two parents and a younger sister. I recall my sister having a bubbly personality and my parents for the most part have always been good to me. However I have the feeling they did awful things but I can't grasp it. I don't remember and I might seem dumb for that. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear but I can't explain anything else really."

The two of them stayed silent for a few seconds, making me worry if I did do something wrong, even after they plastered smiles on their faces I couldn't shake it off.

"Thank you for trusting us enough to share that" Tyler said

That made me realize that oh god

I just talked about myself without even knowing these guys for a day

I shyly replied, "You're welcome I guess..anyway, tell me a bit about yourselfs, in return for my introduction."

They both looked at eachother, mumbling about who should go first

"Fine, so me and Tyler here have been friends for a while, every since, what was it? 2011? Way back in the day, almost 10 years now damn." Josh exclaimed. "I was introduced to him by one of his bandmates at the time and I myself decided to join him in his adventure in the musical industry."

"There used to be three bandmembers, two of which left a bit after our first album released." Tyler continued. "Josh here joined and from then on it's just been me and him."

I nodded at their story. Them two, part of a band, coolio. I had the urge to ask them what the name of their band was, just because I wand wondering but Anxiety got the best of me. Turns out I didn't need to ask anyway

As if reading my mind, Josh spoke, "Tyler came up with the name of our band when it was first formed, he called it Twenty One Pilots."

Twenty One Pilots. I feel like I heard that name somewhere before but I can't recall where. I pushed the thought aside for now and decided to focus on the conversation at hand.

"That's amazing! Were you two famous or something?" I asked

The two of them thought for a moment. Tyler answered awkwardly. "I can't really recall whether we were or not. I know we had a fan base but, I can't remember how many or how dedicated they were, how about you Josh?"

Josh looked back at him and shrugged. "Don't ask me Tyler, I don't necessarily have a clue as well."

Hearing them say that let me release a breath I didn't know I was holding. At least I'm not the only one with bad memory

"That's fine if you don't remember. Just knowing you two were in a band kinda makes me feel honored or that you are superior to me since I haven't done anything in my entire life hehe." I admitted.

Tyler gave me a serious expression, "Dont say that Y/N, everyone is special in their own way. Maybe you haven't discovered it yet but you are special in a way."

I lightly smiled at his comment, but it vanished just as fast as it appeared

Even if he said something like that, I know I'm not special in any way

Unless having a mental illness makes me "special"

But either way, I am not

And never will be

oH GOD THIS IS SO LATE IM SORRY!

HOMEWORK IS KILLING ME (JUKGETDA)

AND I WASNT SURE HOW TO CONTINUE/FINISH THIS CHAPTER BUT HERE YOU GO!!!

I will try to post more now that I am on Winter Break yayayay

Anyway so introductions yAy! Y/N just found out that Tyler and Josh were in a band! One that she recalls the name to but doesn't remember?

Next few chapters (maybe like 10 at the most) will be ones that would eventually lead to the rebellion of the inhabitants of DEMA

I really want to get to that part of the story already but I must be patient 😤
