. . .

A year passed by so quickly, they have gone back to their normal life, well except for Mieun who were just building her life again. It's been tough but with her family, she was able to learn new things about herself.

"Oppa?" She softly knocked on his door. Yes, his door, even they live in the same roof, they never sleep right next to each other. Mieun thinks it was better that way though. "You'll be late for work," she continued. She knocked once again and called for him when he didn't respond.

The door was then pulled open, Kris standing tall in his working clothes, a pair of black slacks and a gray checkered button up shirt. "You're so noisy," he commented, snapping in his cold tone, as he walked past her.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she mumbled, almost a whisper; this is one of the reason why she prefer that they had separated rooms, he is cold and intimidating. She proceeded to the kitchen to get his cup of coffee but he was heading towards the door; without any words, he left their penthouse.

It was lunch soon and since Mieun didn't have school today, she decided to make a packed lunch for Kris. She was currently slicing the egg roll so it would fit in the lunch box. Then, she piled up the boxes before packing it as one.

.

The kids turned their heads altogether to the direction where they hear the voice, there their favorite doctor was standing before crouching down, grinning widely. "Doctor Wu!" They chanted, running to give him a group hug.

He played with the little humans, playing as the knight in shining armor or the villain in their little own world. Then, he spotted the lone child in the corner of the room, flipping through the picture storybook, so he excused himself from the little girls to approach her, "Chaeyoung-ie."

"Oh, annyeonghaseyo," she said ever so softly, smiling although she was quite worn-out after the exercise for the kids who had heart surgery.

He sat by her side, towering her that it's easy to look at the book she was looking, "Why won't you play with the others?"

She pouted, "It's still tiring to play with them."

Then, a knock came in the room, getting all the attention in the playroom. "Hello, kids!" Mieun greeted, handing each one of them a lollipop. Then, she proceeded to take a seat with the two, "Hello, Chaeyoung-ah, how are you feeling?"

She shyly responded, "I'm feeling better, eonni," with a smile.

Kris looked away, before asking, "What brought you here?"

"I asked your secretary if you had lunch already and she said no, so I made lunch for you," she won't deny that she felt scared when he turned to look at her but she wanted to make him feel cared despite that. "But if you don't want this, we could go to the newly open restaurant nearby and grab you lunch there," she suggested.

Kris pulled himself up, "Alright, let's go," he said. Mieun smiled that he agreed with her but at the same time felt bad that he rejected her cooking once again.

"Chaeyoung-ie?" Called from the doorstep, it was Yeonhee. Kris immediately craned to her direction and smiled widely at her. "Oh, Kris, you're here," she bowed, "And Mieun too."

Mieun was confused that she knew her but she bowed nevertheless, "Ne, annyeonghaseyo." She was about to asked her where and how they met but Kris butted in.

"Ah, come here Chaeyoung-ie," he called and carried the child in his arms, "We'll take you back in your room now." He faced Mieun to tell her that she could go now to her father then they'll go out to eat.

.

The bells chimed when new customer came in the shop, Chinae cheerfully greeted the customer, "Hello~ Sir! Welcome to—" she wasn't able to finish when she realized who the customer was. It was the person who had always made her heart skip its beat, "Sehun oppa."

She may have feelings for Sehun but never did she think of confessing it. She knows that the couple was having hardships with Taewon's disapproval of them and she doesn't want to squeeze herself in.

"Chinae-ah," he immediately embraces her, rocking her in his arms, "I missed you," he said before releasing her to give her hair a ruffle. Sehun always treats her as his younger twin sister because they we're both sharing the same day.

"Ya!" She exclaimed and then she realized people were still there. She hissed before bowing to apologize to them, "You're so annoying," fixing her hair.

He chuckled, tucking his hands in his pockets, looking around to spot one significant person, "Is Mieun here? You know? I hate you, why do you always ignore my messages?"

"Mieun?"

"Who's looking for me?"

Chinae looked over his shoulder to see Mieun with her brother. Sehun instantly turned knowing Mieun was the voice's owner, "Mieun-ah," tears brimming his eyes as he called out her name.

Jongin was surprised to see him back. Shouldn't he be in Los Angeles? He knows that his father wouldn't let him back in Korea; he even kept his documents to avoid him from flying back. Now, "How did you come back?"

Sehun didn't bother to listen to the older lad and went to Mieun to pull her closer to him, "I missed you." A tear slid down his cheek while muttering those same words, when he pulled away from the hug, "Hey, didn't you miss me?" Hurt is clear in his voice because he felt that she was trying to push him away during the hug.

"Who are you?"

He swallowed the lump in his throat, unbelieving that she actually asked him who he was. "Ya, how come you don't know me now?" She frowned even more if that's possible, "I'm Sehun, your boyfriend."

Mieun started to feel that familiar pain in her head, her vision blurred and eventually blacked out, but Jongin immediately snatched her away from the confused Sehun to pick her up bridal style.

Chinae was about to follow behind her brother when Sehun pulled her back, "What is happening to her? Why did she faint?"

"Not now Sehun-ah, please," she pleaded, anxious of how she would accept the situation if her memories are really back. "Hyunwoo," she called for her staff, taking the apron off her waist to head to the door and follow Jongin.

"Ya," Sehun called but Jongin have already moved the car out of the parking lot and accelerated, heading towards the Choi Hospital. He cussed at them both for leaving him behind, and for not satisfying his question. He saw an empty cab, "Taxi!"
