Another Chance

Chapter 1: Where it begins. Again.

Sakura POV

We're in the middle of a fight, or more like they're in the middle of a fight. I'm not doing anything, I can't do anything.

Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and I . We're the only ones left, everyone else is stuck in the infinite tsukuyomi. Just us, the only ones left that can save them. The only ones left that can change anything. The world is resting on our shoulders, and me? I can't do anything but watch. Watch from the sidelines as Kakashi is holding me by my shirt so that I don't fall to my pitiful death by the lava of the dimension Kaguya sent us to. Watch as I see Naruto and Sasuke fight Kaguya alone and Kakashi can't help them because he's busy protecting me.

Weak. Pathetic. Useless.

They were right, that's all I am. I can't protect myself, I can't do anything. They always thought I needed protection. Their isn't anything I can do to change myself anymore, no matter how much I want to. Their is no time to change even if I wanted to.

My thoughts came to an abrupt stop as Naruto tries to distract Kaguya with his sexy no jutsu.

'Heh, this idiot. He really is the village's number one knuckle-headed ninja."

It surprisingly works and Sasuke tries to take advantage of this opening, but just as expected Kaguya dodges and sends us into a different dimension.

*Some time later*

Just as Naruto and Sasuke are about to touch Kaguya to seal her she tries dodging upwards.

'Now's my chance. I can at least help them with this. It's all I can do.'

As I'm coming down to punch her head I shout, "Don't forget about me! We're both women so don't mock me!".
Just as Naruto and Sasuke were about to touch her, her supposed son Zetsu pushes her out of the way. I can see Naruto and Sasuke are surprised by this but before they could even react Kaguya stabs them both through the heart. My heart skips a beat and my eyes open wide as my pupils dilate. At this moment my whole world feels as if it's crashing down.

I rush quickly to their bodies and start injecting chakra into their wounds to heal them but it no use, they've already died. No matter how far I've come in medical jutsu, I can't revive the dead,

"No....no please....thi-this is all just a bad dream r-right? Yes, just a bad dream, I-Ill wake up any min-minute now. Come o-on Sakura w-wake up."
I pinch my arm desperately trying to wake up from this awful dream.

'Wake up! WAKE UP!'

It's not a dream. My eyes become dull as all the life has left them.

I fall onto my knees as I slap myself trying to inflict more pain unto myself. To try to get myself to wake up.

'Pl-Please! Wake up, please wa-wake up.'

Silent tees are streaming down my face as my hands are shaking. I suddenly hear a dark chuckle coming from somewhere. I lift my head turning to the direction of the noise.

"They lasted longer then I thought they would." Says Kaguya with dark amusement. Suddenly, as if something inside me finally snapped, I start running towards her clenching my fists ready to fight. I know I can't beat her. If Naruto and Sasuke couldn't beat her together then what good could I do alone?
