Unsuccessful searches. (finished)

"I'm bored, I don't even know what to do... Why are Sundays so boring ?" I sighed, slumped in my couch.
I start looking through my living room to see what interesting things I could do.
Watch TV ? No, It's Sunday, there is literally nothing interesting to watch on a Sunday
Play a bit of guitar ? Nah, I'm too lazy !
And some piano ? Piano sounds good ! Well actually It's far away from me right now..
Go watch some vids on YouTube ? Nope, I know that if I start I definitely will fall asleep on my keyboard...
Finally, I dragged my eyes on the laptop that I always leave on the table in front of my sofa, in case I'm too lazy to move. Like today, by the way ! After some minutes of staredown with my computer, I decide to lean without making too much effort to grab it and put it on my lap gently.

I resigned myself to open Google Chrome anyway even though I really didn't want to. By opening it, I didn't knew what to do directly, I was looking for stupid stuff on Reddit and 4chan to kill my boredom but it turned out unsuccessful. Actually, I was still super bored and I started to think that it wasn't gonna change in a nick of time but still, kept looking through all those stories that people were telling us.
Suddently, one particular post caught my attention, the one from a person asking if anyone ever tried "rentafriend.com". People were bragging about how it would be amazing to use it in certain ways. Nothing really interesting in itself but actually one of those comments was saying that they did tried this website ! I was thinking that maybe I would give it a shot, it's not like I had a big schedule anyway but this person said that it was actually pretty boring but enjoyable which is quite contradictory but whatever.
I gazed on the page a little more to see if I ever missed something else I should know and I actually noticed something ! This post I just read was from 8 years ago. 8. Fucking. Years. Ago. All my hopes of having a better time vanished just by noticing this. Am I ever gonna be able to have some fun or what ? I swear, my life is a living joke that keeps striking over and over again..
Just by pure curiosity I decided to still try to click on the link available. Who knows, maybe I'll find something even though It's super old.

"Oh my God ! It did worked !" I pratically yelled in my apartement but it actually was a very good surprise to see that this website was working.
I must admit that this website does look kinda old... This bluish background with this cheap logo looks so 2010..
Whatever ! What does this say here ?

Companionship is exactly what I was looking for !

" 'Enter a location of where you are looking to rent a friend, search by: City, State, Zip/Postal Code, Country.' Okay then Miami, Florida, United States. Will that work out ?" I said feverishly.
Surprise, surprise, it did worked ! The first profile I could was a man named Jordan, he really seemed like a nice guy but I didn't felt like going out with a guy. I know how awkward I can be with dudes. The second account was pretty boring but then I noticed a really pretty woman few accounts later.
Let see what she says. I quickly scrolled down to the section "More info about Lauren"

Well damn Lauren. She seems like a lot of fun ! Why not try to contact her, am I right ? So I clicked on the big (and ugly) blue button saying, "JOIN NOW TO CONTACT LAUREN". I feel yelled at but whatever. Then after have on clicked this crappy button, it leaded me to another page telling me average things and I had to click ANOTHER crappy ugly blue button Then I needed to fill a simple member application with: my name, address, location, email address, password (obviously) and finally my credit card. (the most scary part because I'm a little paranoid)

I really hope that she is worth it...
