Three hundred years ago, Queen Eclipsa of Mewni abandoned her marriage with King Shastacan to elope with Globgore, the Monster King. Things went smoothly for a very short time, they even had a baby named Meteora. However when the Magic High Commission crystallized Eclipsa for crimes against Mewmanity, Globgore went mad with rage. In his anger he killed Eclipsa's forced betrothed King Shastacan, and was crystallized as well. The Magic High Commission was unsure of what to do. And since Meteora was the last surviving blood of the Mewni Kingdom royalty, they raised her while suppressing her monstrous tendencies. And they lived happily for many years.....
But nothing stays happy forever. My story says that just fine.
