Welcome Home, Ferryn!

Sinalubong ng matinding init ang aking balat as soon as I stepped out of the plane. Good thing I decided to wear an oversized vintage red shirt paired with a comfy high-waisted distressed denim shorts and red supreme slippers for a footwear.

I closed my eyes to embrace the heat and humidity that I haven't felt for months. Maraming may ayaw sa init ng Pilipinas but for me na hindi mapirmi sa isang bansa, it felt very comforting.

"Ferryn!" Napangiti ako sa pagsigaw ng pamilyar na boses. Nilingon ko ito.

"Rory." I greeted her with a smile nang lumapit ako sa pwesto niya. Rory is my best friend and also my freelance film director for my travel documentation in my website. She's definitely one of my treasured person.

Agad naman niya akong niyakap at bumeso, "Welcome home, Ferryn!" she stated enthusiastically, "Did you enjoy Japan?" tanong nito.

She scanned my outfit, "And what's with the outfit? You look skimpy, for sure that's the reason kaya ka pinagtitinginan e. Too much legs my dearest friend." says by someone who loves to wear sexy clothings. She cringed while looking at me from head to toe. The oh-so-conservative Rory, please note the sarcasm. I rolled my eyes heavenwards.

I looked around the airport and few pairs of eyes are on my legs, napailing nalang ako, "Anong skimpy ka diyan, I am wearing something na hindi naman revealing medyo lang sa legs!" depensa ko naman dito.

"And yes I definitely enjoyed Japan, I went to different provinces and tried their native foods." Japan is one of ny favorite travel destination dahil sa dami ng pwedeng gawin at subukan sa bansang 'yon.

"Alam mo ba? sa wakas ay natikman ko na rin ang A5 beef and it is best when dipped on pasteurized egg yolk, you should definitely try it." I said dreamily as I rembember the taste of that piece of a hell of an expensive meat, "Sayang wala ka!" napangisi ako para inggitin siya. I know how much she's dying to try it out. Due to some personal reasons she can't come with me sa Japan that's why wala akong professionally shooted video clips of my travel. It'll be very costly if I hire someone else.

She pouted like a kid, "Bakit nga hindi ako sumama?" nanlulumong tanong nito.

Inakbayan ko siya "You know what, I'll treat you some korean barbeque nalang, so you better take me to the restaurant of your choice." I wiggled my eyebrows and smiled goofily.

Her mood changed in an instant, "Really? Oh my golly I've been craving for it! Samgyupsal it is!" I winced, dahil bilang tuminis ang boses niya, I know how much she loves korean barbecue and I'll treat her as a gratitude for fetching me.

Tumango ako bilang sagot at hinila ko na ang luggage kong maraming sticker na overweighted nanaman.

We immediately went to a nearby korean  barbecue place around the airport.

"Nasaan na pala ang pasalubong ko?" usisa ni Rory habang abala sa paglagay ng karne sa grill.

"Wala, ubos ang budget ko sa wagyu." I joked. Sa totoo lang meron naman talaga akong pasalubong sa kanila ni Rigor—her boyfriend, but mamaya ko nalang ibibigay pag uwi.

Napasimangot ito, "Kuripot mo talaga kahit kailang, hmp!" sabay irap nito.

"I have to save 'no, I need to have an allowance, may iba pa akong paglalaanan ng ipon ko, alam mo naman 'yon diba?" I explained while cutting some meat with kitchen scissor.

"Why don't you post your videos on YouTube? You'll definitely have a larger audience saka mas madali kang mari-reach out ng possible sponsors, partnerships, and affiliates." suhestiyon nito. I create videos pero never kong ni-upload ito sa YouTube, I only share the videos in my website. It is exclusive for those who visit my website.
