single dad!michael going into his 13 year old daughters room to ask her what she wants for dinner tonight but she’s not in there so he calls out her name and asks where she is before receiving a muffled reply from the bathroom and he knocks on the door, asking if she’s okay and she’s all hormonal and moody as well as embarrassed and scared because she’s got her period for the very first time and she knows her dad doesn’t know anything about menstruation so she snaps at him and tells him to go away but he’s taken aback by her tone and starts banging on the bathroom door like ‘open this door right now, young lady!!!!!!’ and the lil argument continues where she just keeps fighting against opening the door and letting him in but he ends up getting a butter knife to pry the lock open and she’s sitting on the toilet lid with her knees up to her chest, legs squeezed shut and michael just sighs and says ‘what’s up with you?!’ and she just blurts out with flushed cheeks ‘i have my period!!!!!!!!!!’ and his eyes go wide like saucers and he swallows a little because it was already awkward enough when he had to go buy her first bra, so he just forces out ‘you need the things right? the thingies..y’know?’ and his hand gestures would be so elaborate and his daughter would just sigh and say ‘yeah’ and they’d end up ducking out to grab them but she’d stay in the car the whole time, and he’d be unsure of what ones to get so he’d just grab three of each brand and he’d get the weirdest looks from everyone in the store because he’s got so many pad boxes but he really doesn’t want to have to go out and buy more any time soon so he’s taking precautions, and so when he gets back to the car he awkwardly hands her the bag/s and his daughter would just be like ‘that’s too many!!!!!’ but he’d shrug it off and change the topic to food, and they’d end up getting pizza on the way home because he thinks he deserves a treat after that stressful encounter

I feel like Michael would be the most awkward person buying pads like he would try not to touch them or even look at them bc he feels so uncomfortable and this made me laugh omg
