❇Chapter 23❇

Wiping your mouth with your napkin you sat back in your chair hand on your stomach. 

"That, was good food"

"Yes ma'am"

Chaeyoung sighed before nodding her head in agreement,

"now I want ice cream"

You knew you were full but, the sound of ice cream was just too good, and who were you to pass up ice cream. Nodding your head Dahyun clapped excitedly, knowing you could all spend more time together. She pulled out her wallet and so did Chaeyoung, despite your protests they split the bill.

"You should have let me pay for something"

"No, we did this for you, you will not pay, and you won't pay for ice cream either."

"I will since I suggested it"

Looking back and forth between them you realized you weren't getting anywhere so you gave up with a sigh. After they got their cards back the three of you headed out of the restaurant and down the street. 

Dahyun skipped down the sidewalk, her perfectly done bun, was now in  loose waves running down her back as she smiled under the moon. She turned around to face you now walking backwards but not running into anything somehow. 

Chaeyoung grabbed your hand and began to skip next to her with you joining with a grin. 

You finally stopped in front of an ice cream shop and walked inside, the cold air hitting you making you shiver. You licked your lips at the sight of ice cream and walked over to the cases containing them. You pointed at the vanilla smiling and Chaeyoung ordered for you and then herself. Dahyun had gotten some sort of mixture with a bunch of toppings that you had no clue what the name was. 

"What even is that?"

"My question exactly"

"It's birthday cake blast, cake batter ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate-"

"okay we get it"

Chaeyoung laughed and grabbed your cone of ice cream for you and her own. 

The three of you sat at a table outside enjoying the new spring air. You enjoyed your ice cream trying to push the memory of you, Changbin, and May to the back of your mind. You didn't want to throw a pity party on your girls night, but it was the same ice cream place. Shaking your thoughts away you laughed at the stupid joke Dahyun just made.

Walking past a clothing store Chaeyoung dragged Dahyun away from the cute sweater in the window.

"no"

"JUST LET ME BE HAPPY"

Chaeyoung looked to you for assistance but you shrugged still eating your ice cream. She huffed and gripped her waist tighter pulling her past. 

"I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME"

This continued until they finally stopped in front of a plushie store that made Chaeyoung smile and giggle like a little girl.

"YES!"

Throwing away the now soggy cone you walked in the store behind them. They were already each holding giant arms full of plush animals and you laughed. 

"How, how have you already-"

"Shh, don't question the process"

Laughing you shook your head at them before walking over to a wall of large bears.
