"ma, i'm home!" nick yelled into the chaotic household.

"my baby boy is home" his mom ran towards us hugging her youngest soon.

"ma you're hurting me" nick squealed from her grip.

"i'm sorry baby. hi you must be isabella" she turned towards me.

"hi yes i'm bella, pleasure to meet you" i extended my hand out to shake hers.

"honey i'm a hugger" she laughed pulling me in her arms.

we took our bags upstairs into Nick's old room and settled before heading back downstairs and greeting the rest of the family. it was very loud and crazy with aunt, uncles, and cousins running through the home.

" we've got food in here if you guys are hungry" a man yelled over the noise.

"thanks uncle mario" nick said before guiding me to the table.

the adults around us began speaking in italian and conversing with one another. they talked about how nick and i looked like a cute couple while we ate, making me laugh a bit because i assume they didn't think i understood them.

"grazie" i thank them in italian

"you are italian?" an aunt asked

"oh sorry no, i just learned to speak italian when i was younger. along with spanish, portuguese, and french" i say

"hmm, nicholas you did good with this one" another uncle jumps in.

"i know right" nick smirks.

after the craziness wined down, we took a walk down to the frozen yogurt shop and had alone time with nick's older siblings. they told countless embarrassing stories about him that made me laugh. it felt nice to be a part of a big family, something i didn't have growing up.
