Born and raised in Guangzhou, he later moved to Vancouver to attend Sir Winston Churchill Secondary school before moving to Toronto, Ontario Canada. He decided to become a singer in Korea when he graduated high school, he moved to Korea after auditioning for **** Entertainment and participated in a survival show "Touchdown" which was cancelled later on. He focused on coming to make more music which came the time for him to sign a contract with Monster Entertainment to be able to release his own music worldwide.
