Percy POV"Mr Jackson, Mr Jackson, MR JACKSON" I jumped as my teacher Ms Morris was fuming at me. I looked around at my classmates of Goode high as the boy's snickers and gave me dirty looks, the girls, on the other hand, twirled their extensions into a knotted mess, trying to giggle flirtatiously bu failing. Badly. "Yes Ms Morris I said "could you please repeat what I just said" my face begun to burn up I racked my brain trying to remember the few words that I caught as I lay on my desk dreaming of Camp HalfBlood and Annabeth I looked over at piper hoping she could give me a clue 'odyssey' she mouthed and then motioned what I think was meant to be her reading "were going to be reading the Odyssey?" I asked. Ms Morris stared at me "yes" she said "but maybe you can actually listen in class instead of going to Miss McLean for help" I lowered my head but not before I glanced at Piper who's face was a tomato.

"Hey Percy honey" A high pitch voice came from across the cafeteria followed by the sound of heels clashing against the cold hard floor, as the sound neared the sickly sweet smell of expensive perfume washed over me. I turned around to face Chloe who smiled at me her body dripping in jewellery. "Hey, babe".

PIPER POV"Hey babe," Chloe said staring at Percy with what I guess was supposed to be a seductive smile but ended up looking like a weird frog that had been directed in biology. Percy was fuming I looked over to see Jason and Leo look at each other with a knowing look having seen Percy angry in battle and not. Frank who acted sort of as a peacekeeper in our group placed his hand on Percy's shoulder and gave him a look of "remember what Chiron said about mortals" which is a very exact look but oh well.Hazel POVFranks' hand sat on Percy's shoulder calming Percy down slightly. "I have a girlfriend" Percy responded to Chloe staring at her face which was caked with makeup that I barely knew existed. "Not for long" She smiled and winked at Percy before turning around to her table. A cough sounded from next to me and I looked over to see Maddy and Josh, our mortal friends, snickering. Percy still fuming about Chloe turned sharply towards them and asked "what?" "your girlfriend?" Josh said raising an eyebrow "that one who looks like a goddess and is everything a man could dream of but just happens to live in San Francisco?" Maddy giggled at Josh's comment while Percy looked like he could break their spines, which he could by the way, "for the last time she is real" all the demigods and the titan princess nodded in agreement about Annabeth. The 2 mortals rolled their eyes and switched the subject to if they could hang out at Sally's house. That was where Percy lived the rest of us had different apartments throughout the building, Frank and I shared one so did Leo and Calypso and Jason and Piper. Percy agreed on the basis that they could watch The little mermaid while there.
