The Silver Paladin [Keith X Reader]

The Blue Lion

"Wow!" you said as you looked at all the data on the board. You couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy when you found a note saying how much Keith missed Shiro. "I can't explain it but I've felt a lot of energy coming from around these parts for the last few months. I keep stumbling on something called Voltron." Keith said.

"The sentries on the ship in which I was imprisoned mentioned it too." Shiro said. "I keep picking it up on the alien radio frequencies too." Pidge said. "Umm...guys? I went through Pidge's bag yesterday..." Hunk said.

"WHAT?" Pidge said ."I was just looking for a candy bar and I found this picture of him and his girlfriend." Hunk said holding up a picture of Pidge and Matt. You flinched at that. You knew you were supposed to smirk or something because you knew Pidge's secret but the word girlfriend only reminded you of Ash. Ashley. Ashley Grey.

You tried to concentrate on what Hunk was saying about some data points but it was hard preventing memories revolving Ashley to resurface. You saw Keith's and Shiros mouths moving but no voice came out of them. It was only when everyone was leaving the shack when your senses worked again. "Y/N!?" Keith said shaking your shoulders. He was the one who was about to leave the shack last and he noticed your blank expression.

"Sorry. Something came over me. Lets go." You said shaking all thoughts of Ashley away and looked at Keith. He went out of the shack and you followed. Time flew by as Hunk used Pidge's frequency radar to find the cave that Keith was talking about. When you (FINALLY) found it no one was thrilled to go inside.

But the hieroglyphs inside were so pretty. It was like they were carved into the rock. Your finger curved around into the way one of the heiroglyphs was shaped. You looked at the others. Everyone was doing the same thing except for Lance.

"I don't understand what's so special about them," he said eyeing them curiously. As soon as he touched one of them all of the carvings turned blue. "They didn't do that before." Keith said. Suddenly the ground under Lance gave away and the rest of you looked in. "Woah!" You heard Lance say from below.

Instinctively, Keith jumped into the hole in the ground. "Keith!" You said and went after him. You fell to the ground below. For some weird reason the ground felt very soft and warm. You opened your eyes to see that you'd actually fallen on Keith. Your noses were touching and you couldn't help but blush. You were about to get off him when something heavy landed on top of you. "Hunk!" You exclaimed. 

"Sorry." He said and got off allowing you to escape the awkward situation you were put in. You looked in front of you to see a huge blue lion with a blue barrier surrounding it.

"Wow!" You said. "Is this Voltron?" Hunk said. Keith went forward and touched the barrier. "I wonder how you get past this." He said. "Maybe you just knock." Lance said and knocked on the barrier. Suddenly and weirdly ,the barrierd disappeared and you saw 6 lions flying up in the sky to form a gigantic robot.

"Did you all see that?" You said. Everyone nodded. "Voltron is a mega-gigantic robot!" Hunk said voicing your thoughts. The blue lion in front of you suddenly bent down and opened its mouth to let Alan e inside and all of you followed. Inside was an even cooler control board for one pilot to sit on. Lance was already seated.

"Do you hear that?" Lance said. "Hear what?" Keith said. "The lion. I think it's speaking to me. Wait. It's telling me what to do." Lance said and after a few clicks of buttons the lion smashed through the ground above you and sped into the sky.
