Jimin worked at a toy store in his hometown and business was slow, as usual. He was just suiting at the front counter coloring in one of the coloring books waiting for a customer to come in. He looked at the time and sighed when he realized that he had a couple hours until he could go home.
It's not that Jimin didn't like working at a toy store, besides the fact it reminded him of his childhood, he was always just constantly bored and nobody ever came into the store.
Jimin finished coloring in one of the pages of the coloring book and he went to the back to put away some of the children's books they had left over on the counter.
After a few minutes of organizing and admiring the stuffed animals they had, Jimin started to hear noises coming from the front of the store, it sounded like someone or sonething as rustling through a bag.
Before Jimin went to go check it out, he grabbed one of the fake knight swords and headed to the front of the store to investigate.
As Jimin was walking, he saw something fluffy peaking over the top of one of the shelves that had games on it.
It looked like hair.
Okay but who can actually be that tall, are you kidding me??
Jimin walked closer and turned really fast to try and scare the person or thing hiding behind the shelf.
Jimin stopped and his eyes widened. He looked up at the boy standing in front of him.
They boy had a small bag of chips in his hands and his mouth was full of chips, he looked shocked. "Oh uh...sorry." Jimin put the sword down and the tall boy finished eating his chips while covering his mouth in embarrassment.
"Well that's one hell of a way to greet customers." He said with a slight smile. Jimin gasped, "don't swear in here, it's a toy store, kids could be here." He looked around and then back at Jimin, "I don't see anyone, this business is flopping." He said.
"Pfft..."
"I guess you're kinda right, nothing really happens here." Jimin said. "I see that," the boy looked down at the shelf and picked up a ball. A mischievous smile grew across his face.
"Catch!" He threw the ball towards Jimin the he jumped trying to catch it even thought it was totally out of the blue. "What was that for?" Jimin asked while picking the ball of the floor. "I don't know actually, but I'll take that ball." He said.
Jimin rolled his eyes while walking back to the front desk to ring up the ball for the boy.
"What's your name anyways?" Jimin asked. He looked at Jimin and spoke, "Namjoon." Jimin nodded.
"I'm-"
"Jimin...I can see your nametag." Namjoon said while sliding his credit card to pay for the ball.
Jimins face turned red.
To Jimin, Namjoon seemed...mysterious...in a way, or maybe that was the romance movies that Jimin watches talking. Jimin noticed his dimples and how he spoke made Jimin want to know him better, but he thought it would be weird given the fact that they just met.
"Can I have my ball now Jimin?" Namjoon asked while putting his wallet into his sweater pocket. "Oh yeah, here you go." Jimin handed the bag to Namjoon and he started to walk away.
Before Namjoon walked out of the store, he turned around, "maybe we'll meet again." Namjoon smiled and left the store.
