Kitsune...the japanese word for Fox, Foxes we're said to be the most common subject for japanese folklore. they are also said to be intelligent beings and as possessing abilities that increase with their age and wisdom.
According to yokai folklore, All foxes or kitsunes are able to shapeshift into human form. While some folktales speak of kitsune employing this ability to trick others—as foxes in folklore often do—other stories portray them as faithful guardians, friends, lovers, and wives.
This fact about the Creature made it quite popular to some and one of those amount of people is Shuichi Saihara, Kaito Momota, Rantaro Amami, and Kiibo Idabashi. though on the day of their first day as second years they get to meet a certain....well..... 'Friend'.
