Jeongguk pov

I sat high up within a tower. A tower you would think be home to a princess. One tall with seemingly no entrance besides the windows, but they were five times the average height of any mortal. Thus, making it "impossible" for anyone to make their way inside. If only the stupid mortals would look hard enough they could find the entrance, a small cave some thirty yards out into the woods.

Not as if I mind, no one bothers me or visits. It was my only place of solitude. Away from those with judgemental stares, and remarks. A place I could freely be myself, no worries of having to hide from what I truly am. No longer living in fear of being discovered and brutally killed. Instead I can thrive here.

Though my life was a tad boring. Most of my time spent arranging my tattered spell books. Placing herbs and other ingredients aside into cabinets or onto shelves. Tidying up my space. For a work space must always be clean, or it could drive one mad. On rare occasions I would even leave to retrieve herbs and other things.

After cleaning I went to my window to watch as the sun disappeared over the horizon. I loved how just before it completely disappeared behind the castle, that was off in the distance, the sky would go fire red. Making it seem as if the kingdom was in flames. It was my favorite part of the show that sunset's put on.

For it was a omen. A sign that one day that kingdom would burn to the pits of hell. Never to return, never to be rebuilt, only ruined into dust and ash. A day I would rejoice in.

With that the sky would smooth into pink's and soft purple's before fading into the deep navy and black of night. Blotched with twinkling stars that shone throughout the night, until pushed away by dawn.

At the end of the sunsets' show I make my way to my chambers. Up to my bed ready to rest my night away till morning. Passing down the corridor I saw my shapeshifter, Lucifer. Sticking my hand out so that the black python form he was in could slither and coil himself around my arm. Giving him a lift into my chamber. Placing him down into his cave, more so a small carve out of the wall, so that he could rest. Then I retired myself into the bed, closing my eyes for sleep to engulf me.

Taehyung pov

Good posture! Smile pretty! Don't speak! Fix your dress! Sit up straight! Pay attention!

Those phases and variations of them are all I hear on a daily basis. I need to look pretty for my suitors, show them I am graceful. Never speak, for it is not my place as the princess. I'm to shut up, look pretty, and nothing else.

That's not what I do. For those phases muttered to me constantly always fall deaf to my ears. I dream to travel. Explore. I wish to leave behind dresses somedays, I wish to weigh in my opinions with the others. I wish to find my own love not be shown different men who want me. I want out.

So that is what I did. I gathered up as many things as I believed I would need. Piled them into a small bag and left the castle. I had to attempt to get past hundreds of guards. Just as I was about to slip through the back gate, a arm wrapped around mine.

"And just where do you think you're going?"

The person spun me around and I was met by Yoongi. Head of the guards, and right now the biggest pain in my ass.

"I was going out on a stroll." I smile up at him, hoping to use my charm to get off the hook.

"In the dead of night?" He scoffed. He ripped the bag off of my shoulders, rummaging through it. "With food and clothes that could last you a week?"

I was fucked. I looked at the ground shuffling my feet. He was to tell my fathers then I would be in big trouble.

"Come on, time to pay a visit to you fathers." With that he reattached his iron grip to my arm. Dragging me back into the cobblestone fortress.
