Five days ago Yvgeny called to say that when I returned from Paradise, to report to him and bring a cardboard box. Our group is being disbanded and while I'm certainly free to re-apply for a job at Discovery Partners (or whatever the entity will be called), that I shouldn't hold out too much help.
the fucking éoward bastard fired me by way of a voice-mail!!!

I've been too ashamed to tell people but a friend at the gym told me about a career counsellor - another member at the gym - who's helped OTHER members get their footing back. I left him a message and within the hour he texted back.
James and I met for coffee at the Peets on Shattuck, he's given me some ideas, suggestions, and he's offered a very affordable rate for his services. I'm gonna do it!

Luck may be breaking my way. An old colleague at Apple is currently a solo consultant in Houston, working on an online community development project at MD Andersen Hospital. The group needs a documentation writer -- NOT my strongest suit but it *is* something I did years ago on Wall Street. 'gonna send them a nice long letter....
and maybe treat myself to a little online R&R... Lolol
