"Ingat, Ma, Pa." I said as I hugged them and placed a kiss on their forhead, "Pasalubong ah, baka kalimutan niyo na naman po ako." I pouted. My parents are leaving for a vacation at Maldives. Yaman, 'di ba? Syempre ipon nila 'yon, dream destination daw nila.

"Oo naman," They smiled at me as they enter the car, waving at me through the tinted windows, hearing them say 'I love you'.

"I LOVE YOU TOO, INGAT!" I shouted. I waited as the car beacame a small dot.

Feeling ko ako 'yung lilipad pa-Maldives sa sobrang kaba ko sa kanila. Pero think positive, Irene, your parents are in good hands. Tuluyan na akong pumasok sa bahay at naglinis bago ako manood.

My parents will be out of town for a week. Ewan ko kung kakayanin ko ang isang linggong walang kasama. 'Di bale, I'm a strong independent women and I can handle things.

Pagkasapit ng ika-9 ng gabi ay humiga na ako sa kama at binuksan ang aking cellphone para makipag voice call online with Mom and Dad.

They answered the call after 3 rings.

"Hello?"

Hearing their voice made me happy knowing that their safe. "Saan na kayo, Ma?"

"Irene, gising ka pa? Akala ko tulog ka pa kaya di ka na namin tinawagan." sabi ni mama.

"I really planned on calling you po. Nakalipad na po ba?" I asked.

"Oo, 'nak." I heard my dad said.

"How about your ate? Is she home?" Mama asked, "Ma maliligo lang po ako." change topic ko, I don't want to ruin the light atmosphere.

I held my phone tightly and decided to end the call, but before I could end the call a crashing sound was heard on the other line. My heart thumped agressively.

 "Ma? Pa?"
