It seemed that the excitement of Ron and Hermione's wedding had not worn off, even days into the honeymoon. Hermione had insisted that Jamaica was beautiful and that they were going to love it, and she was right. Beautiful blue skies, warm weather, and crystal clear waters were exactly what the couple needed. They had a cottage right on the beach, and often took walks on the ocean at night.

"Almost ready, love?" Hermione called up the stairs as she packed yet another book into her beach bag.

"Coming, 'Mione!" Ron called down, emerging from the bedroom with a beach towel slung over his shoulder. They were going to the beach for a relaxing day together.

Just as they were about to leave, an owl pounded at the window. Hermione opened it to let the owl in and grabbed the letter that was attached to its leg.

"It's from your mum, Ron," she said as she opened the letter. "Oh!"

"What is it?" Ron asked, coming up behind his wife. Hermione's eyes quickly skimmed the detailed letter.

"Angelina went into labor last night! And, oh, they've included a picture!" Hermione pulled out a small picture of a newborn baby boy, labelled Fred Weasley II.

"Wow," Ron grinned, looking at the picture. "That's a big deal. I wonder if we should go home early? Y'know, just to help with the baby and everything."

"No, no, they don't want us to cut the honeymoon short," Hermione said as she continued to read the letter.

Ron grinned. As excited as he was for George and Angelina, spending time with his wife was what he really wanted right now. After all, there would be plenty of time for getting to know the baby later. He glanced at the picture one last time before following Hermione out the door and to the beach.

St. Mungo's was busy. Well, busier than usual. With almost the entire Weasley family crammed into the waiting room, things got crowded quickly. But Angelina had just given birth, and they were not going to miss out on meeting the newest member of the family that easily.

"It's your turn, Potters," Audrey said as she and Percy walked out of Angelina's room. The members of the family were all taking turns going in to meet the baby. Harry and Ginny stood up from their seats, glad for a chance to stretch their legs.

"C'mon, Teddy. You have to be really quiet, because the baby's sleeping," Ginny said as they were led down a hallway. Teddy nodded as he held Ginny's hand.

"Okay. Are we almost there?"

"Almost."

Just a moment later, the Healer stopped at a door. She opened the door for the Potters and allowed them to walk inside.

Angelina was laying in a hospital bed, looking tired but extremely happy. Fred was wrapped in a blanket in her arms. He was sleeping, just as Ginny said he would be.

"Hi, Aunt Angie," Teddy smiled but spoke softly. "Did that baby come from your stomach?"

Angelina gave a warm smile. "Yes, he did."

"Oh." Teddy looked thoughtful for a moment, his little face scrunched in concentration. "Did you have to eat him first?"

The adults in the room burst out laughing, covering their mouths to muffle the sound. Once they had recovered, Angelina spoke again. "I think that's a talk for another time. Would you all like to see him?"

"Yes, please!" Teddy grinned excitedly. Harry and Ginny led him over to the bed. The three took turns holding Fred. (Teddy did so with a little help from the adults, of course.) Once they had all met the baby, they left and went back to the waiting room.

"Bill and Fluer, you can go meet Fred," Ginny called as they sat down. Teddy, who had been in the hospital since the night before, curled up in Ginny's lap for a nap.

They sat like that for a while, until George and Angelina were ready to go home with Fred. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley helped them pack everything up and take it home.

Harry and Ginny brought Teddy back to Grimmauld Place. They tucked him in bed so he could sleep for a while, and went back downstairs to the kitchen.

"So," Ginny began, sitting down at the kitchen table. "How do you think Ron and Hermione are doing?"

Harry shrugged and sat down. "Judging by their letter, they're loving Jamaica. I am excited for them to come home, though."

"So am I."

The couple spent the day relaxing at home, enjoying each others company.

The next few days passed rather uneventfully. Ron and Hermione enjoyed the last of their honeymoon, but it was soon time to pack up and go home. Although they would miss Jamaica, they were eager to see their friends and family.

"Y'know, this has been one of the best weeks of my life," Ron remarked as they were packing up their suitcases. Hermione looked up, red tinting her cheeks slightly.

"I—well, me too." She smiled softly. They continued to pack up the last of their things before they went home.

"Got everything?" Hermione asked one last time. Ron nodded in confirmation. The break was nice, but they needed to be back home.

"Yeah."

With that, the two picked up their suitcases and walked out the door.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Weasleys were all there to greet Ron and Hermione as soon as they arrived home. Mrs. Weasley ushered them into the Burrow as soon as they set down their things, and they received a warm welcome from the family.

"Welcome home, Ron and Hermione! Come on in, dears, and you can tell us all about your honeymoon!" Mrs. Weasley exclaimed.

"Hey, Ron and 'Mione," Ginny grinned as she made her way to the front door. "Teddy, Uncle Ron and Aunt 'Mione are here!"

As if it was choreographed, Teddy came barreling into the front hallway and jumped straight into Ron's arms, taking him by surprise.

"Uncle Ron!"

"Hey, Teddy!" Ron grinned as he sat Teddy down, who then went to go hug Hermione.

"He's been a little ball of energy all week," Harry grinned as he joined them. "I think it's the leftover wedding cake."

"Harry!" Hermione beamed and embraced her friend, who returned the hug.

"Welcome back, 'Mione."

Dinner followed the rest of the warm welcomes. Ron and Hermione were grateful for the big home cooked meal Mrs. Weasley had made to celebrate their return. The family all had a great time eating delicious food and socializing. It was great to see everyone again.

"Well, we'd better get home," Ron said, standing up. Everyone was tired and full and Ron wanted nothing more than to be in bed right now. Hermione nodded in agreement.

"Oh, of course! Why don't you take some leftovers, dear? Here, let me get your bags."

Within minutes, Ron and Hermione were ready to go with their bags and leftovers from dinner. They said their goodbyes.

"It's good to have you back," Harry smiled just before Ron and Hermione left.

"It's good to be back."

For the Weasleys, resuming their normal routine after the crazy past few months would be difficult, but they could do it. And quite honestly, the family could use some calm in their lives.

A/N: Hey guys, here's chapter 36! First, I want to apologize for the super long wait. If you read my author's note, you'd know that I've been really busy with the musical. I'll try to give you one more update before performances start again this weekend, and then things should be back to normal. Also, I'm sorry that this was sort of a filler chapter? Thanks for reading! 💛
