Hermione's mind was reeling. That was to be expected, of course. She had been tossing and turning all night, trying to get sleep before the next day. But Ron's vacant spot on the bed was cold and empty, and she wanted to be curled up in his arms more than ever now.

Eventually, with the knowledge that she was not going to be getting much sleep, she crawled out of bed and pulled on a bathrobe. Grabbing a book from her end table, she made her way downstairs to read.

The next thing Hermione heard was a very loud knocking on her door. Her book was discarded next to her on the couch. She must have fallen asleep. Before she could stand up and answer the door, Ginny, Luna, and Audrey burst in.

"'Mione!" Ginny exclaimed, unusually awake for someone who hates getting up early. "Did you just wake up? Never mind, we've got to get you ready!"

"Yeah," Hermione mumbled tiredly. A moment later, Mrs. Weasley entered, her arms full of beauty products. Ginny and Hermione helped her unload everything she brought, and they got to work.

Hermione, now realizing just how important this time was, had a burst of energy and excitement. She was nervous, too, but she knew Ron was just as excited as she was.

"It's a good thing you've got a cook in the family, 'Mione," Ginny said as she worked on Hermione's hair. "I don't like to cook, and Harry doesn't either." She was right, though. Ron was an excellent cook.

"Now, don't forget to owl us while you're on your honeymoon," Mrs. Weasley reminded her sternly. "Jamaica's far away."

"I will," Hermione promised, smiling. The excitement was building.

A few hours had passed. Hermione sighed in relief as Mrs. Weasley and her bridesmaids announced they were done. She looked in the mirror.

And she couldn't believe what she saw.

Hermione had been transformed. Her usually bushy hair was tamed, and pulled into an elegant bun, with curls framing her face. A green flower was resting in her hair. Her dress was beautiful—a fitted bodice with lacy sleeves and a skirt that flowed out behind her.

"Wow," Hermione breathed.

"You look amazing, Hermione," Ginny beamed.

"Ron will be impressed," Luna remarked with a smile. Hermione thanked them all.

"Oh, let me get a picture!" Mrs. Weasley had tears in her eyes as she pulled out a camera. She snapped a picture of Hermione in her dress. She looked radiant.

A knock on the door shook them from their thoughts. Hermione's dad, David Granger, opened the door.

"Almost time. You look beautiful, Hermione." He walked in further and pulled his daughter into his arms, kissing her on the forehead. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah," Hermione said softly. "I think I am."

And they walked out the door.

Although it hadn't started yet, Ron and Hermione's wedding was a joyous affair. It was considerably smaller than Harry and Ginny's wedding, not because people didn't want to see them, but because the family had learned from the obscure amount of people last time.

The families of the bride and groom were sitting in the front. Mrs. Weasley looked close to tears and was beaming. Mr. Weasley had a huge smile on his face and an arm around his wife. Jean Granger sat next to them, also beaming and holding a camera. Angelina's baby was due that month, and the bump was prominent under her dress as she sat in the front row.
