Inside the employee refreshments room, much to Janey's dismay, there were no cakes, no biscuits and certainly no tea.

When Harrison said imprison, Janey wanted to laugh but soon she realised, if this was Cinderella, he would most definitely be the evil step-mother. And his men would be Anastasia and Druscilla which Iris and Stephen would be the mice.

He locked her in the storage room. Mind you, by storage room I do not mean it had bookshop stuff, it was full of various killing weapons.

She was tied up and lucky enough for her, he hadn't realised who she actually was and didn't leave anyone to watch her.

In the next room, she could hear his men beating up her poor mice under his command.

"Dave? Can you hear me? Dave? Breathe if your alive," Cassidy's voice came through her earpiece.

"I'm fine," she groaned. "But I doubt I'll be for long."

"Hang in there, we'll figure something out. Just... Hang on."

And then she was gone.

The room was dark and the only source of light came from the gap between the door and the floor.

Janey sighed to herself before trying to tug at the ropes around her hands.

Nothing happened. Whoever tied it must've been an expert at making knots.

"Think, Dave, think," Janey told herself. From what she could hear, the beating up session was dying down. At any second, she would be taken out there to face the same thing.

She had to do her fair share of gymnastics just trying to pull out the dagger she always hid in her left sock. And further hand gymnastics to cut it.

By the time the rope that had tied her up broke, she had done more damage to her hands than she had the rope.

There was blood everywhere.

She grabbed one of the guns in the room. It was a pretty dumb move to lock her up in the weaponry room but in Harrison's defence, he didn't know she was a threat.

Just then, the door unlocked and one of his men stood in the doorway, staring at her in shock.

"Uh, sir, you might want to see this-"

She shot him. In the leg, of course. She didn't want him to die but she wanted him defenceless for the moment.

"What the-. Diane, I didn't know you had a way with guns," Harrison grinned at her and started to applaud. "I mean, your aim sucks but that's something we could work on. The heart's up here, not down there-"

"Stop with the bs, Harrison. Don't act dumb."

In an instant his grin turned to an intimidating smirk. Just like how she recognised him by his voice, he recognised her by her voice.

"Janey Davies. Of course, how could I have not put two and two together? I guess I would have hoped there would be at least one smart Davies. Or did I get the wrong one? Guess I have to wait six more years for Paige, huh?"

"Says the one who locked a secret agent in a room full of weapons."

Harrison sucked at his inner cheek.

"Yeah, I admit. Not my brightest moment. But you," he let out a laugh. "You came to see the person who killed your family? Did you came to avenge your parents like poor Luke did? Or did you come to avenge him?"

"Shut it, Harrison, or I'll shoot."

Upon saying that, his men all aimed their guns at her, even the one on the floor.

He smirked.

"Stand down, men. I'm growing old and tired. Believe it or not, the other day I saw a horrid grey hair. I hope you all know that I simply cannot grow old. I cannot have myself looking like Nicholas or that prick Richard. Shot me dead before that happens. Shot me, Janey. Give me the best you have."

And just like that, she broke the biggest rule in combat.

She hesitated.

Yes, Harrison killed her family and, yes, he deserved to be killed. But unlike most Society members who had a physical weakness, Janey's only weakness was that she had a heart.

Harrison may be evil but he had a family. A wife and two daughters. Janey lived majority of her life without her parents and she didn't want anyone else to go through it. She didn't want his poor daughters to suffer because of her.

With a sigh, Janey put the gun down. She couldn't do it.

Harrison's smirk intensified.

"Just like your brother," he hummed. "Just like Luke. You build yourself up on confidence and thinking your the best but when you come face to face with reality, you crumble. It's a dangerous weakness and will kill you sooner or later. You're heart is too soft. I may come off as evil but I'm no monster." He outstretched a hand towards her a gave her a genuine smile. "Join me, Janey. I'll help strengthen that heart. You're a strong fighter. I believe with a heart of diamond, you could live well past your retirement age. Join me."

She glared at him.

"Never."

He sighed, clearly disappointed but she could tell he expected it.

"You remind me much of your brother. Had the same offer he did. Had the same answer he did. And now, will have the same fate he had. It's a shame but it was your choice. You see, not a monster. Just a man with a tough heart. You will be missed, Janey Davies. Not by me. But someone will miss you. Probably that chap Lincoln. Oh, you thought I didn't know? How precious."

Just then, the glass windows and door shattered and in walked Cassidy and Kyla.

"Took you long enough," Harrison complained. "I thought I was going to have to stall forever. Just take her and get out."

The three girls glanced at each h other in confusion. But they weren't on their own. Even Harrison's men looked baffled.

"Oh, come on. Do I have to threaten you with a gun? Run along girls. Go on," Harrison motioned for them to leave.

"You mean it? You aren't just fooling us? Thought you wanted to kill Janey," Cassidy uttered.

He grinned slyly at Cassidy.

"I won't need to. They're after her and they'll surely kill her."

"Who?" Kyla asked.

"The Rebellion, of course."

At the time, none of the girls had any idea what he was on about but there, indeed, was a rebellion against the Society from its very own member.

They'll surely kill her. Harrison truly knew what he was saying.
