We talked for a month,
Before it all began to change.
Our calls were now just texts,
And my heart began to ache.
That month was like a dream,
One that never happened,
Yet I know it did,
Cause that month, I was happy.
My smiles were real,
My laugh was loud,
My eyes twinkled,
Or so you always said.
Now it was all gone,
For even though we texted,
I missed your voice,
That laugh we shared.
Now it was just emoticons,
And emoticons weren’t enough.
