When I Pressed on the Accelerator

No where to escape this unwanted lifeline

My brain full of monstrous and disastrous thoughts

I am useless and a waste of everyone's time

Wide awake yet not alert sitting here in the midnight hour

Attempting a breakaway

To never succeed

I hear voices low like a slur

I get out the car following the voices

Unlocking my trunk and find a black chest

Upon opening every simple psychosis known to man escaped

A gust of wind blew and blinded me I ran back in my car

I shut my door frantically

Like a deer in the headlights I froze

A mans voice invaded my mind

Caught in this trap I continued to listen

I turned on the car and when I pressed on the accelerator

The beautiful wall of rocks and dust came in view

Sweet blissful escape

My heart rate slowed

I smiled as my fate this curse and I entwined as one

My brain stopped immediately

The car crashing and erupting in flames

When I pressed on the accelerator

When I pressed on the accelerator

When the man told me to press on the accelerator

I would gain all my wildest dreams

Little did he know my dreams were my beloved nightmares

A sweet blissful escape
