Okay so today I was at a friends house playing smash bros on his switch.(I was playing as cloud from final fantasy) I was losing, since this was my first time playing but I won twice so I'm proud of myself.....ish. We were done with a match when my friends grandpa came in to meet me and introduce himself. He held his hand out for me to shake, which I thought was odd since usually girls kiss the person's cheek when they greet someone, and the guys shake their hand (I don't know why tbh). I shook his hand and he asked me my name. Here's when the funny moment happened. I said that my name was Laura, which is a girls name and the look of surprise on his face made me laugh internally. Even my friend laughed a bit at what just happened.
I mean I could understand why he must have assumed I was a dude more or less
reason 1: I was wearing all guy clothes/outfit
reason 2: I was binding
reason 3: my friend didn't say that I was a girl, he just said that a friend was coming over
so yeah that's basically it, im sorta happy that I was mistaken for a boy even if it was only for a few minutes. kay that's all
