See that girl?
The one with a big smile plastered in her face
and her head thrown back laughing?
She's really hurting inside
That smile is fake
and so is the laugh
If you look carefully you'll see the broken smile she hides
You lift her sweatshirt sleeves, you'll see the scars; new and old of her taking a blade to her wrists
She's ashamed of it
but she can't stop; it eases the pain in her chest
That girl cries herself to sleep every night
She wishes he still loved her
She's thought of suicide
All she wants is to be wanted and loved
The only person who doesn't see her beauty is the face looking back at her in the mirror
How do I know all this about her?
Well, that girl is me

PoetryA collection of poems I have written over the years and recently. A lot of them are abou heart break and failed relationships. And I will be honest, some of them are indeed very very deep.
