Jasmine's P.O.V

"So done with that," I exclaimed, while jumping onto the sofa, into Justin's arms.

Alfredo left immediately after the prank, leaving me to scrub all the red liquid off of the floor. I had changed out of my stained clothing and into black leggings and a fitted tank top.

"What to do?" Justin turned to me, as I settled down.

"Let's go on a walk," I suggested while setting my gaze into his eyes.

He smirked at me, while getting up and leading me to the door. I grabbed one of his hoodies, and put it on before we left. The sky was black now, with only the street lights and the moon glistening into the dark. We made our way down the driveway and onto the sidewalk that led to the park. Justin interlocked his fingers between mine and pulled me into him, while walking at a slow pace.

There was silence in the atmosphere. Not a single sound. We didn't talk, but it wasn't an awkward silence. More of a comforting silence. I stared out into the darkness, when Justin broke the quietness.

"So, how do you find handling the fame and this lifestyle?"

I throughly thought about this question for a moment before replying. "It's definitely different. I still take myself as a normal, highschool senior from Toronto, Ontario, but everyone else takes me as "Jasmine Noel Sher, Island Def's new artist, and Justin's supposing girlfriend. It's different, going out an having people take pictures of me, or asking for autographs, but its all a blessing. I know how lucky I am to be in this position and have actual fans, who support me and my music. Although it's been around a month, it's still new. Sudden fame is harder to handle I think. Then again, I just love being able to do what I've always wanted to do. It may be a change, and I may be away from home and family, but it's something I'm greatful for."

Justin nodded carefully, seeming deeply interested in my answer. I'm pretty sure he could relate. His fame was all so sudden, and it took morals, to keep him grounded. He had to pull away from his normal lifestyle and home, but he did it cause he loved what he was doing and his fans.

"It becomes harder after. With all the publicity, rumors and media. I do one thing, it leads to several rumors. Remember all the commotion with Mariah Yeater? That was weird to deal with. Telling people the truth, but having some believe her lies." He went on explaining to me, and his voice suddenly became quieter into a soft whisper. "Now there's Marie."

I sighed a deep breath, hearing her name. It just reminded me all of James. I saw him last at the Beach, and hadn't yet, after that.

"Has she said anything to you yet?" I asked out of curiosity.

He shook his head to say no, and I simply nodded and looked back up into the sky, as the silence once again filled the air.

We reached near the park, and sat onto a bench, at the end of the walkway that boarded the ground. Justin faced me and examined my face, while pulling me closer. He shifted his head forward and I watched as he brought his lips onto mine. It wasn't a soft kiss. His lips lingered long on mine, slowly moving in motion. The breeze made the mood suited, as he clutched my face into his hands, while deepening the kiss. I brought my hands up to his chest and placed one around his neck as he pulled me closer, closing the limited gap we already had between us. He took my motion in the wrong way, as I pushed him back. As much as I didn't want to, I had to.

"Remember. Marie."

He bit his lip and pulled away so we were inches away. He still held his arms around me, but had his lips far away from me.

He lowered his gaze while getting up, but whispered a "yes" as we walked back to the house.

The rest of the night was spent, watching old videos of Justin from his Kidrauhl account. It was nice to see how far he'd come and the change in his voice.

"You were such a cute kid," I told him.

"So I'm not cute anymore?" He pouted at me.

I rolled off the side of the bed, lifting the laptop off of my lap, on the way.

"Nope," I jokingly said to him, while grinning.

He began to talk when the door bell rang.

"I'll get it!" I shouted while running out of the room, to the hall and down the stairs. I heard Justin slowly following behind as I made my way to the door.

I opened the door, and it revealed a vacant porch and lawn. No one was there. I narrowed my eyebrows in confusion and turned to close the door, when a small white package caught my eye. I cautiously picked it up, and looked around before closing the door. As soon as I turned around, Justin stood behind me with a questioning expression.

I went past him and through the hall, back upstairs to my room, curious about what the box held.

I carefully opened the box, and examined the contents. In was a magazine, and a letter. I put the letter aside and flipped through the magazine. There were basically pictures of me and Justin. Besides that, there was nothing else that I found familar in the magazine.

I picked up the letter next, and ripped the envelope open. I took out the paper, and silently read it.

Hey Jasmine,

How's the fame going? Nice album you got there. It's pretty catchy, especially your tune with Justin. Oh yes, talking about Justin, you guys have gotten close, am I right? You've seen those magazine pictures, haven't you? Well, I know he's already told you about me, so I'm hoping you're going to cooperate also and tell him to be obedient. He doesn't want his past revealed, now does he? Just writing to remind him.

I've got an eye on both of you. xo

I held a steady glance for a few seconds and clutched the paper, processing this.

"So much for not hearing from her," I muttered to myself, not realizing Justin was in the room.

He was peering over my shoulders, scanning the letter in my hand. His mouth was in a firm line, as his eyes stuck to the paper.

"Marie."

I took my gaze off of the paper and brought it to him.

"You can't be sure," I said, trying to sound convincing, even though I knew myself that it was indeed, a letter from Marie.

"Who else knows about the whole encounter with her, besides you and her? No one. Plus, that's her her initials, Marie Danielle Valencia," he stammered, while pointing to where she had written her initials.

I placed the letter and the magazine back into the box and threw the thin box underneath my bed.

"Forget about it for now, let's go to sleep," I told him, while hugging him good night. I didn't want him to worry, and I wanted Marie off my mind also.

He hesitated at first, but then listened and shuffled back to his room.

Even I knew by now, Marie meant fucking buisness.
